Yeah, I had a special circumstance with DCT and the documents I needed to upload so I had to submit the documentation on the last day the application was due so maybe mine is at the bottom of the pile to be reviewed.

Thank you! It was one of my top sites but I'm still waiting on 15 more and freaking out. I'm especially nervous about Terminal Island because no one I know has heard anything from them so I don't know if they sent something out and I can count it as a rejection or if they are just behind... Super frustrating but I really was hoping for the California BOPs! Good luck to you too I hope to see you there on interview day!

Well, the worst thing that can happen is activating a SPAM scam, of which spoofing a number and not leaving a VM is a very common thing. As for the chance that it was UMASS, they'll call back, if so. Sites will not cross someone off their list of interviews simply because they did not answer their phone right away or call back if no message was left.

I'm waiting to hear back for general track. I'm hoping I'm still in the running since I haven't gotten a rejection yet.

I applied to the general, child, and trauma tracks and heard back on Monday, but the tracks weren't mentioned in my email!

Did you apply to the Pueblo location? The reason I ask is that if I recall, the Logan location is primarily civil inpatient and the Pueblo location has the forensic evaluation. I could be wrong, but trying to lift your spirits if it doesn't have everything you wanted. 😍

Thank you, friend. :biglove:I did also apply to Pueblo but haven't heard yet. My top four were Atascadero, Pueblo, Western, and Ft. Logan in that order. Judging by my lack of Atascadero invite right now, I suppose I should cross that one off too. I think I'd be happy if I could get an invite at just ONE of them but its not looking so good. But thank you for the spirit lift, they are in short supply these days.

Has anyone heard from Central Regional Hospital in Butner, NC? I think their notification date was by 12/02, but looking at past years, they typically notify people between 12/5-12/10. Just curious if anyone has heard anything.

It’s a stressful process! I think this is a pretty minor oversight. You have info about your clinical group experiences in your cover letter, cv, letters of rec, and essays. You have a whole essay devoted to your clinical orientation and they probably can guess based on your program.

I wouldn’t call attention to not having that detail in your packet. I think it would cause TD’s extra hassle and point out a mistake they likely didn’t even notice. I would be shocked if that is a make or break thing. They have so little time to review apps and our apps are LONG

This! Honestly, I don't even look at those sections. They're way too long to look at everything. If you applied to my site, I wouldn't even notice it was missing.

I got an invite from CRH on 11/22 via email for the Forensic Track (not sure if you're asking about that track or a different one)

Congrats on getting married! As a training director, I think it would actually be more confusing if you update your name at this point. Since all of your application materials have your maiden name, I would recommend registering for the match with your maiden name so that it lines up. We're already managing many applicants (and many details!) and I wouldn't want that to cause confusion with the interviewers and finding/ranking you in the system. After matching, I would recommend letting the site know of your name change so they can start the onboarding process with your legal name. Good luck!

Congrats! Yup, that's the one I applied to as well, but haven't heard anything. Okay, I'll just wait and see if I get a formal invite or rejection.

I feel you! Atascadero was one of my top sites too and I just got a rejection so I'm super bummed. I also applied to Pueblo but I'm not feeling to confident at the moment.

Same. I'm sorry. What a genuinely awful feeling. I even took an optional practicum to meet their assessment hour requirement (which they changed anyway but that's beside the point). Oh well, it'll be ok. Probably.

Most of my experience is in correctional settings so maybe it was my lack of hospital experience but I still matched a lot of what they do at Atascadero including training police officers to deal with mentally ill offenders. It's probably not helping me that my dissertation is not forensic but police psych despite my other forensic research. This is not getting me excited to hear from Patton which is my number 1 site on paper! This process sucks!

Thanks! I’m sure they’ll get back to you soon! I was told previously that they would be starting to put their schedule together today and tomorrow so people should start hearing back.

Also, don’t allow sites that say “we plan on having an APA visit during the upcoming internship year” be a factor in your ranking if you do attend an APPIC/non-APA interview. Rank them for what they are at this moment.

I recall an APPIC site saying they were going to “likely” get an APA visit that year. They still haven’t gotten one years later and I am glad I did not match there (I got nervous and added non-APA sites at the last minute). Looking back on the experience, I would have saved my money and applied only to APA sites.

Thank goodness I matched at an APA site or else licensure would likely have been a nightmare.

Sometimes no news is good news. Maybe some sites reject before they invite. I hope you get an invitation soon!
