I agree with other comments, there is no way I’d complete an non-accred site. No way no how. It is too risky and closes too many doors for career options, and I wouldn’t want that barrier this early on.
I was notified of an interview by Duke on 12/8.
I got my individual interview set up for my track but haven’t heard back for the group session
I had a site offer a seriously abridged interview of 30 minutes instead of 3 hours. I imagine because they couldn’t find the extra time to do a tour, Q&A etc. Better than nothing but it means it’ll be harder to make an impression and get a good feel for the site.
I think it depends on the state you live in and your goals. I have a supervisor who went to a CPA accredited site instead of apa and she is amazing. I believe some board certifications require APA internship so if that’s what you want you should look at those requirements. I believe VAs also want APA internship but I’m not 100% sure.
I would caution against applying to this site as it is not accredited. I have noticed that a lot of sites with later deadlines like this are not APA accredited.

The email they sent me was harsh too. They said we had a lot of applications and told me even if they interviewed me my chances of getting in would be low. It’s harsh and sounds snobby they could’ve left that part out.

Here's my share: I had an interview, but I couldn't put away my cat because she will throw a literal hissy fit. Everything was going fine until she decided to gallop across the living room and yowl like a banshee. I tried to keep up my best poker face and pretend that I heard nothing on my end lol 🤣
I was contemplating doing this today and I looked at their APPIC directory page again and realized there's a notice that they didn't update a lot of it from last year (in red text)... maybe they forgot to update the notification date for this year and assume that we all know it's (whatever date it is)? But yeah, I definitely think it's worth reaching out; I'm just a little nervous to do so myself... : )
Someone in my cohort received a phone call from them last Thursday inviting her to interview. The woman told her she had 20 or so more people to call. I have not heard any word either way.

I have heard from both of my BOP sites (still waiting on an OF-5 form from one though) and have not been contacted to get my CVA scheduled. I've been contacted by a psychologist from central office to "help with the process" but no CVA scheduling besides just asking what the nearest site is... Frustrating since my first BOP interview is early January so I feel like I'm running out of time.
I reached out yesterday but haven't gotten a response yet. :/

Hahahahaaha oh man, I suspect there will be a few of those going around. In fact, my dog made a sudden appearance during my first interview yesterday, looking very hopeful that I was available to rub her belly. Luckily my interviewer was very good natured about it.
Also, do we know timeframe for their accreditation? Have they been accredited on contingency for 2 years and are waiting to find out about full accreditation status? My program requires an accredited internship, and I’m a little worried sites’ abilities to report stats to meet accreditation in context of COVID
This is what I worry about lol. If I put mine in his crate, he’s usually quiet in there unless he hears a “threat” lol. Hopefully sites can give some grace about things like this given the nature of virtual interviews from home.
