Applicant Privacy

I was wondering what the general rule is on the privacy of an applicant. I might have friends of the family who are also friends with the Dean of Admissions at certain Chicago schools. However, I dont want these nosy "friends" finding out information about my application, or as to why I was rejected (personal issues)


If I called the dean, asking him to respect my privacy from any 3rd party member who are not adcom, would this be acknowledged

They're not allowed to talk about your application with anyone except the adcomm members on that committee.
