Very very bad idea to post your actual pic here! Its fine, I advice you to edit your post
Don't use that photo!
When we say professional photo, we mean: a head shot in professional dress (smiling).
A glamour shot taken by a professional is not necessarily a professional photo.

I dont get why everybody freaks out about pictures and stuff on here.....
If you're not a tool, and you've got nothing to hide, why bother hiding?

It would be fine without the flower.
How you present yourself is important.I dont get why everybody freaks out about pictures and stuff on here.....

Every applicant has hundreds of photos of themselves.
The one they choose shows a lot about their judgement and maturity.
You must get countless people in their graduation regalia since so many are applying a few weeks after ceremonies. Do you consider that not professional? How you present yourself is important.

Regalia is common (though not preferred). You must get countless people in their graduation regalia since so many are applying a few weeks after ceremonies. Do you consider that not professional?
You would have to see the weird things people are doing in their regalia to get an idea of what I'm recommending against!
Aren't the photos tiny pics of head and shoulders?? What weird stuff could they manage to catch in the frameYou would have to see the weird things people are doing

An absolute "no smiling" policy makes no sense to me

I'm cheesing it in mine... my coworkers said I look like a choir director at a private Christian school. 🙁
My sister told me I look like a nanna headed to the republican national convention
Double checked and couldnt find it, but I am 85% sure that I have seen it somewhere. But just for reference to anyone watching take my comments as misinformation and disregard.I'm willing to believe it. I have seen stranger requests...
Go to CVS and have them take a passport photo for you.
Costs like 10 dollars.....

US Passport photos are relaxed face, nonsmiling. Maybe that's what you are thinking of.Double checked and couldnt find it, but I am 85% sure that I have seen it somewhere. But just for reference to anyone watching take my comments as misinformation and disregard.
IPhone is fine.Go to CVS and have them take a passport photo for you.

These pics are usually asked to be a few inches across, or sometimes they request ~400 pixels or simply a very small filesize. Anything fancier than a recent phone's camera pic is gonna be overkill, just throw on your suits and find a nice background

Couldn't see. This is my graduation photo. Is this acceptable to use as my application photo?
I live alone, and was uncomfortable sending medical schools a "selfie"IPhone is fine.
The passport photo works better (in my opinion) because they have a neutral white background ready to go instead of whatever color wall you have in your home.
Plus a lot of the secondaries I wrote requested "A Passport-style photo".
Not saying iphone isn't a valid option, I just feel like a real passport style photo might be better.

This photo could work for so many of the secondary essays I had
-Describe a challenge you have faced
-Describe a time you were out of your comfort zone
-Describe an experience that profoundly affected you
He is asking about anonymity on sdn. Not about bad application photos on a secondary. How you present yourself is important.
