Hi, I can been a little but confuse about the application process for podiatry school. I am currently a senior and I will be graduating in December of 2011. I would like to get into the Class of 2012 in the Fall. When does the application process actually begin? I know for each school it would be different dates, but does in start in Aug 2011 or is it January 2012?

It hath begun my friend. It depends on what school you apply to, look on the websites for the exact dates, but the application is(would be next year too) well under way. I beleive that most start taking apps in august/sept/nov range. I applied mid november, and by the end of novemeber/early december had recieved interviews from all 5, and december was there last round of interview before break and then they started back up in mid january doing interviews!

Now I am even more confuse because the AACPMAS application is only for 2010-2011 wouldn't this just be for pre-podiatry student who wants to get into the FALL of 2011?

Thanks for being so helpful. That's what I wanted to know. I was a little bit confused because the AACPM application I was working on said that it only worked for the 2010-2011 cycle. So I have to wait until this application cycle to end (June 2011) and after that the new cycle will be for 2011-2012 which will be for entering class for 2012 FALL, correct?
Yea you need to wait until either August or September 2011 for 2012 entering class. They will announce the date on their website.

FYI some pod schools have new classes starting in January. I know of NY for sure so you graduate in 4.5 years with a lighter load. If you've got a semester to kill it might be a decent option.
