Anyone have any advice on interviewing for two tracks (i.e. categorical and global health) at the same program? Is there an expectation to show preference for one track over the other? Does overtly showing interest in track A decrease your likelihood of being ranked well for track B?

It is common to apply for both if you are interested in the "smaller" track, e.g. global but also generally interested in the program. Shows that you have broad interest in the program not just an "I'll only consider it if I get the global health track. If you apply to both, you would be expected to have significant interest in both or else you are wasting some of their time. It should not affect your matching likelihood if you explain your interests well during the interview.
