Hello,

I'd like to attend an optional info session for an interview I have this week, but I'll be at work and wearing scrubs that day. My manager is okay with me taking a longer lunch to attend the one-hour session, which is great, but it would take additional time to change into and out of interview clothing.

Would it be unwise to attend in my scrubs? Since it's an optional session and not on the same day as the interview, I thought it might be acceptable, but I'm unsure.

(I would wear subtle scrubs--navy,gray, or black.)

Scrubs are obviously appropriate attire for your work, but you don't want to look like that guy in undergrad who wore a stethoscope to class. And you don't want to look like you sleep in a suit vest.

It doesn't take long to throw on something from the wide realm of business casual, so do that.
