What about the Undercover Gunners?
I have always been the furthest thing from a gunner, so I pretend that deep down inside I have a little Gunner version of myself in a med student coat, wearing sunglasses, all undercover.

I think at heart we are all undercover gunners, but you are definitely the coolest 😉

Do they have your transcripts? My transcripts were IN before I submitted so mine went immediately to the "Ready for Review" screen.

Check on your transcripts. 👍

bump...anybody have any luck today? it seemed like the people who had been waiting a few days and then called to ask about it got verified right away. anybody else have this trick work?

I found a most excellent thread from last year.

It seems like not much has changed, and perusing it raised 2 key points:

1) EDP will get you bumped to the top of the pile
2) Re-applicants may get verified faster because they already have your coursework

Other than that things seem to be going the same way. For people who sent their stuff in after the mcat results came out, it looks like we can expect about 6-10 days, with some exceptions. this seems to get a little but not much longer in july, but i think the bottom line is that everyone who has submitted up to this point should be done before the first release the med schools. hooray!

submitted june 18th...schools have confirmed that they have sent my transcripts...AMCAS states transcrtips "not received."

I keep checking every 30 minutes and had a nightmare that my transcripts were illegible and AMCAS threw out my application. How pathetic! 😴

based on stories from last year, you are probably verified and they forgot to change the status / made a mistake. If you call you will probably learn that you are already good to go.

if I plan on retaking in august is there a point for me to submit my amcas now or am I supposed to wait? I am not sure how this all works!!!

if you know what schools you are applying to you should probably submit. you can fill out your secondaries, send in letters, be complete at schools etc., and then they will get your mcat and everything will be happy.

So they will see the April score and my whole application...but how do I make sure they dont actually consider my application until AFTER they recieve the august scores???

But, for those of us who all submitted on the 19th, I bet it will be between the 27th and the 30th. Just because there are so many of us.

I don't think they look at your application yet if you have checked YES for the August, 2006 MCAT administration. I think that is why they ask that. You could call AMCAS though. Or ask the re-applicants. I am a first time applicant so I don't know.

I'm looking to submit sometime next week 🙁. Three PSes (Total 18300 chars) for the md/phd and work/activities are just killing me.

Hopefully I'm not too behind....🙁. Apparently they interview all hte MSTPers on one day? In which case it won't matter if i delay a week...hopefully.

you'll be fine. I'm not submitting until next week and I'm also applying MD/PhD. The 3 essays are killer...but it lightens the md/phd secondary load a little bit (b/c otherwise you'd be writing those same essays with slight variations for every secondary). We'll probably still go out in the first round.

**sigh** friday is winding down and no action on my file. i wasn't expecting any, but still. sad. i submitted about noon on the 20th and my transcripts were already in. i go out of town on sunday for a week and will have NO INTERNET ACCESS 😱 (yeah, i know, scary thought). i better be verfied by the time i get back.....or else. 🙂

Yeah. I don't think that they work on the weekends.

Also, I wonder if those of us who got verified today will get submitted to schools on Monday? Some people (that were verified earlier in the week) already have 2nd-airies. 😛

are they really sending out 2ndaries already?? some are available online and you can go do them without invitation. i thought amcas didn't release your app to schools until july though, thus whether we were verified on the 5th or in 2 weeks is irrelevant.

YES!! A group of students got the email from OSU today. This did not include me. I was only verified just today. 👎
