Are they? I interviewed for a pharm tech position and it was a month and a half between my application submittal and my interview and HR didnt call my references until 2 weeks after my interview. It's been a few days since the reference calls and I STILL haven't heard a yes or no from them. Is this normal? 😡

It took about 5 weeks from my interview to get the call from HR and then about another week for inprocessing and orientation.

Interview - > first day of work took about 2-3 weeks.

(hr forms, drug test, orientation)

I applied for my current job in August and didn't interview until October. I started orientation in November.

I'm not a pharm tech, but I work at a hospital. When I applied I applied for about 3 different available jobs, I got a call back from the one I took about 3-4 weeks later, the other called me back 1 week after that. The one I took took about 1 more week for processing. yes, they are slow.

Yeah..I interviewed in May and I'm FINALLY going to get started August 23. They only hold orientations once a month so by the time I heard from them, I had alot of paperwork before they officially offered...then I had to put 2 weeks in..which put me past the July orientation date.

such a mess.

Once I interviewed at a place and the HR manager in charge ended up leaving the position ... and never contacted/updated me about anything. I ended up calling one of the project managers and found out the HR guy left the company during the week I interviewed 😱

Wow. Talk about bad timing.

Yea, I e-mailed and called the guy and never got a response ... not even an automated "I no longer work here" message... so months later I contacted the project manager and found out what happened.

Sounds like my Ochem professor. He decided to accept a job in Cali and left within a day's time. He also changed his number so no one from the school could contact him about grades.😡

PS. I hope you were able to find something else.

I am sure you get the idea that it does take a while. Maybe you can try calling the pharmacy and asking the interviewer for an update.

I'm thinking about calling because this is really holding me up but I don't want to come across as a nuisance.
