Are Indians Considered ORM?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Can't even troll right...

Was it the picture? My troll radar has been way off these days. Some unnamed user trolled a whole bunch of us in the pre-DO forum regarding his dilemma, it didn't hit me until 3 full pages of replies later.

Is that you, Vijay?

Honestly people, have some decency, you guys have made a joke out of this thread? Answer if your intention pertains to the OP's post, otherwise, go get a social life outside of sdn.😎

if you were being serious, I certainly did not catch it, as to my knowledge India is part of Asia. Therefore people from India (and the people from the neighboring countries) are Asians.

Here are some more facts about Indian people if you were curious about that too.

Regarding Allopathic schools, do admission committees view Indian applicants as Asians? And therefore are Indians considered over represented minorities?

Asian Indians are ORM. Indians as in Native Americans are URM.

I realize it's a troll thread, but it's an important point to note for anyone interested.

how is this thread a troll? As an Indian, i was genuinely interested in how my ethnicity may affect me in my medical education!
