Are the Berkeley Review CBT's ridiculously difficult?

I took 7 of the TBR CBTs and all of the AAMCs and this is what I experienced:

PS scores for the TBR tests were ~ 2 pts. less than than AAMC
VR scores were 1 pt. higher than AAMC
BS were about 1-2 points lower than AAMC
Overall scores about 2 points lower than AAMC

On one of the TBR tests (I think either 3 or 4), I scored so low it destroyed my confidence, but I quickly recovered on the next test. In other words, the difficulty of the tests have a wide range so don't get too discouraged by outliers. Use your anger as a tool to strengthen your weak areas the test exploits!

I just took the PS sections for TBR CBTs 8 & 9, because like you said, the VR section gives a false sense of hope. The BS is a pain on the TBR tests, but I think they are good practice.

I didn't have the wide spread you are experiencing on the PS, but that is because I was accustomed to the TBR style of writing from working most of their passages in their books.

Make sure you have stockpile of AAMC tests for the final week or two to recondition yourself for VR.

thanks. i actually just took one of the PS's section and didn't pick up my pencil and scored 3 pts. higher and 15 minutes earlier! clearly i should stick to a minimum when doing the calculations. thanks so much.
Test #6 compared to test #5 was great. What a swing that was...

can someone please add more comments to this?
how do the BR scores (per section) compare to AAMC practice avgs. and vs. your actual score?
