Are the interviews 1 on 1, or group?

I have heard that the interviews have multiple applicants at the same time, how does this work? Isn't it a little awkward sitting alongside your competition answering questions and trying to outdo each other? I'm not that kind of person so I'm worried I'll do bad.

It may vary by school, but I believe most places are one-on-one. Try looking up interview threads from past years for the places you've applied to to see what their interviews are like.
