After the candidate graduates from med school.

Typically this is after the 3rd year of the 6 total years. This isn't every program but majority I've seen. Some programs start the resident in med school from day 1. In this case they would likely have the MD awarded after their 2nd year out of 6.

Our 6-year residents also receive theirs after PGY-3.

I think it was clear, which is why I was also asking.

It's so much easier to just get into med school than to get in through omfs as well... lol
