Sounds like a dick head. Welcome to undergrad pre-med (or whatever you want to call it.)

eh...you'll see those people everywhere. At one of my interviews, there was a girl there who kept bragging about her 19 DAT score. I'm glad that she feels it was enough to get into dental school, but the way she kept bragging about it, you would think she had scored a 28AA. I didn't mind her as much as another guy I met at another school for my interviews bragging about his 24AA score, which happens to be a good score on the DAT, and talking about how he got a UoP interview. He was telling everybody abt the UoP interview he had scheduled two weeks later(mind you, we are in front of other professors and the Dean we are about to interview with at a different school)...He proceeds to start asking me if I knew how the UoP interview process was like and then he stops mid sentence and says "You probably didn't even get an interview offer, right? they're very competitive"...To which I replied "you are correct..didn't get a UoP interview offer". Although I had just interviewed with UoP a month earlier. So sometimes, you just have to ignore people and let them be stupid.

Lol. Fail to him.

Don't be hatin.

While on my university's College of Natural Science's Facebook page today, I saw that someone asked about why Ochem is hard.

Then I saw this comment:

This kid brags about himself all over the internet. So much in fact that I have had peers who mention his arrogance to me, even though we're not even in the same class.

I'm just done. So done. This guy's name is a Spaghetti sauce, for Christ's sake (it starts with an R..)

/endrant

"I didn't study for a single test"

Such BS. Toolset at it's finest. Just tell him to FO

Undergrad pre-med kids are just awfully obnoxious. I knew this group of pre-med kids, they were loud and always bragged about their "pre-med" status and **** that one of my professor had to tell them to shut their traps during lecture. 😎

Sadly, I am in orgo II, and it is horrific. Test averages, regardless of professors, is between 45-55% so a T score is always necessary lol. The hard sciences are hard at UT Austin 😛 But thank you for your brief moment of positivity, I have seen your helpful DAT advice on this website 🙂

Tell me about it. I am struggling in one of my science courses as we speak.

Our first Orgo 2 average was a 87. At that moment she realized she F***ed up. Second average was a 50%. No curve. Dreams were crushed.

Wow....
Is UOP really that much more competitive?

In my case, the first orgo 2 midterm avg was 64% ish, the chemistry department head wasn't happy. Second avg was 40%, he thought it was okay.

Ten bucks says the guy hasn't even taken orgo. Gotta love people that brag :bang:

Just forgive and forget - I remember in the past i have made so many mistakes and said so many wrong things. Forgive quickly and don't take offense too easily. Just be happy that Organic Chemistry is easy for someone - this is easy to say , but hard to do - **practice** being thankful and happy for other people's success. Be happy for one another.

@gn4 Plot twist: He is your future classmate. 😱
Op, just ignore him. There will be moments which his egos will be crushed by someone like him.

He must be some kind of hot sauce :naughty:

Jokes aside, I can see Orgo I to be not that bad. But there's no way you can do well in Orgo II if you don't study at all, that class is dense yo.. I think he might be a troll.

Honestly Orgo I was hell for me because it was completely new and my professor didn't give any context, lazily showing us synthesis without explaining it. Orgo II I'm actually doing BETTER because I have context to what I'm learning. Yeah, I have my orgo II final tomorrow afternoon.. Yikes, should get back to studying.

At my school, Orgo 1 was alright if you studied. Orgo 2 was hard no matter what you did. Our prof would take reactions from resently published papers and tell us to do synthesis or retro

Take a 2 and 3 C adducts and make a 2oC product.
