How is this different from asking who wants to share a room a space in bay area? I can locate hundreds of posts that will fall in this category if solicitation of this kind is the definition of to solicit.

In my meager salary how can I afford a total of 9K, I am sick , I cannot fly that far to go home in this condition. The flying will kill me. If you go to the Medicine board ,they talk about how they prescribed each other meds.

Did I hit a sore nerve?Or should I remove the barter/trade on cheating ?

Can you tell me the difference? You need to be very careful in your decisions here. If you have told me that the trade of services as a PI is irrelevant in this board that is very valid , but I am only joking. This is a case of a compulsivity, we react to the triggerpoints illogically.Everybody has this . Now I know what is yours. I have a sore one but it is on guard all the time.I can tell the last remark I made is very close to your heart.

Did you happen to see the picture that I thought was kinda belong to the LOVE@AOL on the Medicine board? All I said is what I think. I caught a lot of people off guard. Lately I even found a corruption again. Do you think I like it?

Lakambini, your previous post/thread seeking advice proves to all why we, foreign trained dentists, need education here in the U.S. before we go out in the real world and practice.
If someone still does not understand why we need education here before we can practice independantly definitely need some volunteering/ observing in a dental clinic.

The difference is that roommate-hunting does not involve an exchange of professional services or requests for treatment. As DrMom mentioned earlier, threads of that nature are clearly prohibited by the terms of service agreement (which everyone agrees to abide by during the account creation process).

I'm sorry to hear about your plight--and I mean that earnestly, not sarcastically--but it's not permitted to use the SDN forums in that fashion. I'm leaving this thread open for now in the hope that someone can point you toward some help, but if it continues to be a discussion of diagnosis and/or treatment for your specific case, the thread will have to be closed. A great deal of potential liability for everyone involved.

I would politely request that you stop pressing this issue. The current SDN policy on this matter has been in place for some time, is quite firm, and is unlikely to change.

I hope you resolve your health issue and by now you know we respect your personal work in the dental arena. Calling someone an IDIOT takes the validity out of the hard work that you do. To call someone an idiot, to the contrary makes you look like one. I have told you before and I will tell you again tone it done. If you want respect you have to give it . It would be a shame to lose the respect you have earned from us because we all know how hard you work . Especially the challenges that you overcome given your health issues. I know you need no pity, nor do you care for those who criticize you. But this has nothing to do with your personal issues, especially when you attack another for just sharing their opinions , I know you dislike that sought of treatment when you are faced with the same issues. So don't be a hypocrite. Good luck with you health issue. I do hope you get better and especially have a safe and healthy Holiday

I am not a saint I have in the past lost my cool; once on a previous thread and admitted my unprofessional behavior ,which was bought to my attention by a fellow SDN member. I admitted that I was out of place and what I said was unprofessional , Further , I retracted what I wrote and have been trying to lead by example ever since, as you should . I am not a saint but I am honest enough to know when I am wrong or out of place and I am mature enough to admit when I am wrong and learn from my mistake and more importantly help others do the same when I see them making the same mistake I have made . Ouch! I didn't mean to be an "idiot". All I was trying to say was things work differently in the US. One is liable for anything and everything here, and that's why we go through so much of paperwork before we handle any patient. For instance, probably you wouldn't do it, but what if a patient extracted his own tooth and called upon the doctor for a suture, something goes wrong after the suture and the patient could sue the doctor for it and give him all unnecessary publicity (good or bad eventually). That's exactly what a dentist, or anybody for that matter, does not want and that's why he or she may have turned you away. Things work differently here in the US and that's all I meant to say.
