Hey folks, at my school we mostly have subjects taught by many professors. So in Neuroanatomy for example we had 20 different professors teaching topics. I need to get a recommendation letter for a scholarship...how would you guys go about approaching a professor for this if you dont really have time to meet them?

Make time.

E-mail them and set up an appointment or go to them during their office hours.

Probably talk to them like normal humans would work.

E-mail them.

Honestly, I think it is best to go to them during office hours. If it is a professor that knows you well, you do not have to go that extra mile to introduce yourself. If it is a professor that you have not seen in a year or so you should approach them with some sort of introduction. Ex: Hello Professor XYZ, my name is BLANK and I was in your BLANK class last year.....

Best of luck! Obtaining letters of recommendation is a grueling process, especially since they do not depend on you. Needless to say my application is almost complete and the only thing that is holding me back is the committee letter!
