I'm a Canadian student majoring in psych and I plan to apply to Irish med schools (preferably GEM program). My first year if uni was very bad due to the fact that I didn't know what to do for undergrad and ended up taking courses that dropped my gpa badly. I'm just wondering how Irish med schools look/calculate the gpa? Atlantic Bridge is really vague about it. I'm also curious whether having 3-4 Ws in your transcript affect if you get in or not. Like do they care whether you withdraw from courses during undergrad? I'm currently struggling with one course and not sure if I should stay and get a bad grade or drop it.
I did email them but they didn't really give me an answer about the gpa calculation.
