Well, you might not care, but college football is the most popular college sport. And dont think that 2 teams from the same conference winning the national title is all that impressive, the ACC did it only a couple years ago. That and the ACC had two teams in the Final Four, and was BY FAR the most dominant conference last year.

I mean, its good that out of a much larger pool of mediocre schools the Big East manages to have one randomly be good any given year. But the ACC is good top to middle all year round, and has perennial powerhouses in the top 10.

But then again, if you were a true college basketball fan, you would remember how dominant the ACC was all last year.

Yeesh, I was talking about Big East basketball and all of a sudden you start talking about football. Then you start getting all scientific about how the ACC is better after I made a quick flippant comment about how I am a fan of Big East basketball. Relax, buddy.

Its similar to when Met fans say the Mets are better than the Yankees and then Yankee fans whip out the big guns about the countless championships they won. We all know the stats. Who cares?

Also, college basketball is much more popular than college football here in the Northeast, where I am from. I'm not very well versed, nor do I care about what people in Iowa enjoy watching

ACC basketball is the best basketball conference hands down always forever. Anyone who questions this is hands down always forever an idiot.

Now thats the kind of argument I can deal with.

The Big East will reign supreme once again, you just wait and see.

As of right now, you can easily make the argument that the Big East is as strong as the ACC. The Big East has always been one of the best conferences except for during some of the 90's when Georgetown and St. Johns and many of the old powerhouses were having down years. Now, granted the ACC was much better throughout most of the 90's. Lately, both conferences have had some great teams (Big East winning 2 straight championships) and they both have plenty of teams that are rarely competitive. However, the Big East has had more teams (14 vs. 9) and so there is a wider range of teams. Now, the ACC just picked up 2 of the bottom teams in the Big East (Miami and VTech) and the Big East picked up 4 of the best teams from Conference USA, along with South Florida. Now, of those 4 that are good teams, Louisville and Cincinnati can be considered serious title contenders any given year, especially since Rick Pitino is at Louisville. Right now, both leagues have teams that are definitely not going to be competitive with the big guns, but if you just look at the top of each conference, there isn't much of an advantage either way.

I have returned from dinner and Buffy says hello to all of you aspiring doctors.

What does everyone wear to their football team's games?
