Thanks so much. I really really hope she didn't call everyone who got in today. I've just been feeling down about my application 🙁 I mean my GPA is decent and I'm only getting denied and waitlisted everywhere grrrr
 
I know I've never posted on here before.. but I also go to Auburn as an OOS undergrad and interviewed on Thursday. I really thought Kaye said no one would be getting called.. it would all be letters. Now I am freaking out 🙁 No phone call here yet..
 
btw, this is random...but I can't figure out for the life of me how to change the part under my name where it says Junior Member to something else. any advice?
 
Yeah but there aren't many people on here that interviewed at Auburn...including AUlablover and those that posted on the interview invite thread there were only 10 people! Sorry I'm gonna stop being negative nancy now haha
 
Congrats Wolfpack!! That's so exciting!! I kind of have a feeling I will not be joining you, because I sort of felt like every single thing I said throughout my interview just annoyed all three of them. I kind of felt like they were picking apart everything I said, and they all had completely blank stares the entire time! I keep reading everyone's posts about how their interview was so pleasant and not at all stressful, but when I left I kind of wanted to cry because of how uncomfortable I was and how horribly I felt I did! My interview was at 3, so idk if maybe they were just tired at that point, but did anyone else have a similar experience? They kind of seemed to hate my guts...🙁

Were they the same interviewers? I had Dr. Wolfe, Montgomery...and someone else can't remember

Those sound right...I was so nervous I didn't really focus on names, but now that you say them that sounds right. Yeah, and literally that day I talked to a couple people who had said that they had just interviewed with them and they were super nice. Maybe I just rubbed them the wrong way or something🙁 🙁 I guess I can probably add that to the growing rejection list...
 
Don't give up hope!! You might have a nice little surprise coming to you!! I believe in you, and I'm sure you did a lot better than you thought

Hey everyone,
I'm new to this site and just wanted to say hi, and thank you for all the updates about Auburn. I had my interview on Monday the 8th, and have been waiting not so patiently since then 🙂. Good luck to everyone and I hope all your acceptances start popping up on here soon.
 
I am actually going up to the vet school today to start my new job at the small animal hospital and was thinking about stopping in to say hi to Kaye and see what the status of the letters were.. yes, no, maybe?
 
Just received this email:

"The decision letters have been placed in the U. S. mail today. On a personal note, I enjoyed meeting each of you and hope your visit to Auburn was a good one.

Kaye"

2 more days and counting on USPS!!!

This may be a bit late (I don't always check the school-specific threads) but it looks like you haven't figured it out yet, so...

  • Click 'My Account' on the left side of the blue bar at the top of the page
  • In the 'Control Panel' thing on the right, click 'Edit Your Details' - it's at the very top
  • Midway down that page, there's a text entry field under 'Custom User Title'
  • Type whatever you want (maybe 'Auburn c/o 2014!' huh?) and tell it to save

I spoke to the office of Academic Affairs and they said that they did not call anyone. I'm not trying to say you are lying but I am very confused as to the process right now. They were pretty adamant that the letter was the only means of notification and it would be unfair of them to call anyone.
 
Some what off topic but still about Auburn.. do they have summer clinics/class? I know that a few schools do and that means hitting you with the $14,000 (IS) per semester 3 times per year instead of 2 at Auburn. Just wondered what there schedule was... hoping it is only 2 times per year!

Why would Kaye torture us like this!! I hope that they aren't lying to cover their tracks because they said they wouldn't call. Butttt this gives me some hope!! Once Wolfpack said he got the call I thought for sure my chances were over

I think you should be permitted to continue doing your happy dance and maintain your accepted status. So what if you got an early heads up? Today you get to be the special one- and I don't mean short bus special.
 
I totally agree!! I believe you for sure! I bet Kaye wasn't supposed to call anyone yet. AUillinoisan, who did you talk to on the phone? Maybe whoever you talked to didn't know that Kaye had called anyone yet. Wolfpack, you should be celebrating!!! Yayyyyyyyy. I'd be telling the world if I was you!
 
I didn't get the name of who I talked to, I just called the number for Academic Affairs on the website, but I asked if letters were the only means of notification and she said yes. And I mentioned that someone got a phone call and she said "Wrong. Wrong. The only means of notification is the letter which was mailed today, it would be unfair of us to call anyone and notify them ahead of time." So maybe they are trying to cover their ass... who knows! I would be telling the world if I got in!

GRRRRRR the mailman just came and I got no letter. I'm thinking they must have put them in the box after the mailman came to the school so it will probably be a day later than you think. I've been staring out the window all day waiting for him to come. So disappointing haha
 
Same! So aggravating since I could have brought it to my house from the vet school in under 5 minutes. But the mail takes two days.
 
I knowwwwww!! I want to go up there and demand to know if I got in haha. Can we call the post office and pick it up from there?

Not to burst your bubble but I'm in Auburn and my letter didn't come today 🙁 hope yours does though!
 
Nothing for me, but I am considerably farther away than central Florida. I was hoping for a letter tomorrow. I'm kind of disturbed that some people in Al did not get a letter yet though...

Hey flagirl! Just out of curiosity, where exactly in Central Florida are you?? I go to UCF so I'm wondering if we were not classmates at some point lol...this probably means we will get letters at the same time, so I will update ASAP when I get mine!!
 
So I know this is kinda late but I wanted to say it was really nice to meet you luplodw and wolfpack!! My mom still thinks its hilarious that we all got excited about SDN lol. Anyways....I'm on pins and needles here in CA! I'm guessing I won't get my letter until tomorrow at the earliest. Congrats to those who have been accepted already!!
 
Does anyone know if they are sending the letters to our permanent address or our current address?
