So we have a desk audit, the owner wants me to take care of it and it behooves me to make sure the insurance company doesn't take any money back because that affects my bonus.

The insurance company is requesting signature logs/delivery slips. However, the delivery slip states that the item was placed in the mailbox since the patient wasn't home. Is this okay or will this result in chargeback?

Call the insurance company. You can always get the patient to sign an affidavit stating he/she received the medication.

We just send them a paper to sign stating their insurance company is conducting a routine audit and that they received prescription x on day y.
