Away Rotations

Hi all,

I have been lucky to receive one away rotation through VSAS so far. Over half of the places I applied to canceled their aways and most of the others have a requirement that if you rotate with them, you agree to NOT rotate in that specialty at any other institution. It's left me pretty much without hope of getting any more at this point. Which is a huge bummer as a psych applicant. I spent probably 400 bucks on VSAS! Hopefully there will be refunds.

Despite institutions that have agreements in place that state you won't rotate anywhere else if you rotate with them?

These are DO programs that will accept students not through VSAS. They don’t care, they just want students to rotate with them. I have had 8 set up this way

That's cool. Very few are like that for psych. Even the DO programs are mostly on VSAS.

Ohio, Michigan, PA have tons of programs that don’t go through Vsas
