Hey guys,

So I had a question about the academic update on AADSAS between November and February.

I overloaded myself this summer w/ part-time work, commuting and taking two classes, and taking the DAT while those classes were in session. I'm happy with how everything turned out except my grade for Anatomy. I just got my grade back for the Final exam and I'm probably going to get a B or B- in the class (depending on how the professor calculates the grade).

That grade is going to pull down both my GPA and sGPA and I'm trying every effort to keep it as high as possible. I was wondering, do adcoms care if I update my transcript in January as opposed to November so that it will be after Dec 1 and I'll have my fall grades to show?

I doubt they will care much. It's your call but I think you will delay your application that way.

Why would it delay my application? I would have already been interviewed and rejected/accepted.
Just to reiterate, I'm taking about the application update.

I think I would agree and wait to update it until December. I took two summer school course and got A's in both but I don't want to resend my transcripts because it might cause the schools to put your file on hold until the get the new transcripts. I am not quite sure how you should go about it, but I think I would wait.

I would wait as well, seeing that your application is already completed at this point. Plus, once you are accepted schools are going to want your final transcript anyways, so I really don't see academic update being a big issue here.

i'm sure you'll have many december 1st acceptances...so it wont really matter at that point. I honestly dont even remember if i did the academic update or not.

I read this post last night before I went to bed.... and I received my first nightmare about the admission process! Heheh, it was about me trying to get my academic update in on time.... 🙄

But anyhow, I would wait 🙂

Dude, your GPA is so high I don't think its a big deal. It really is your call and I don't think any flags will be raised which ever way you choose.
