This is an odd question–– Are my chances of getting into medical school slimmer if I get a B in my English class at a CC? I am still in high school and all of my other grades at the CC have been A's. I am worried about this English class because my instructor is very strict and grades pretty harshly for someone who teaches at a community college.

A few Bs on your application won't take it by any means, especially in courses that aren't pre-reqs/don't count towards your sGPA. I wouldn't sweat it, especially since you're still in high school

First, a B is not a damning grade—most applicants have a few/several on their transcript. In fact, any one grade or withdrawal is not damning given how many classes you will take during your college career. Second, ad coms will understand the difference between a B received by a HS student in a college class, and a B received by a college student while at college. Third, breathe deeply and try to enjoy the ride. Life is a long-term venture and the journey is at least as important as the destination.
