Hi all,

I was told that if you had a BA/ BS, you'd have more chances of getting accepted from pharmacy schools. Does it matter if you already had a degree or you're working on it? Let's say in August I'll be working on a BA in Biology and will finish in May. At the same time in Aug. I'll applying to pharm. schools, are my chances for admission low due to the fact that I won't receive a degree until May?

Hope this is not confusing....

I dont think it matters, that is when a lot of people apply. They just kinda figure if your in your 4th year then you'll obtain your ba/bs by the time you enter pharm school. You'll always get the opportunity to tell them when you go for the interview if they dont already know.

Don't most students generally apply in their last year of undergrad (in the summer/fall)? I don't see why it would be a problem at all. I think the concern arises when you won't be getting a degree before you enter pharm school - CERTAIN schools look favorably upon you if you are completing a degree by the time you enter.
