My main Question to everyone is: Are you applying to Pharm. School with a Bachelor's or Associate's?

At the moment, I am a sophomore at GMU, I transferred after one year at NVCC (comm. college). I regret that decision, because after finally deciding I wanted to become a pharmacist, I realized that the Pre-Req's could be done at NVCC for cheaper, smaller classes, and better teachers.
GMU told me that over 90% of accepted students in Pharm School had their Bachelor's... to me, I see it as 8 years versus 6 years of school, and I'd like to go for the 6 years.
I'm really interested in going to Shenandoah-

So, if I went to Community College, and then applied for Pharm School, would it make me look lower compared to everyone else?

🙂

Oh man. I hate to do this to you, but this topic has been BEATEN TO DEATH AND THEN BEATEN MORE, THEN INCINERATED, THEN NUKED, THEN PUT BACK TOGETHER AND THEN BEATEN TO DEATH *AGAIN*.

Seriously. THE BEST course of action right now to do is to contact Shenandoah and see what they think about credits done @ CC and sans Bachelor's. I know I have answered this question - at length - about 40 times in the last 3 months as have many other posters.

Thank you for joining SDN. One of the great features on SDN is the ability to search for and read through old threads. This topic has been discussed ad nauseum. I am almost 100% sure there is an entire (rather lengthy) thread devoted to it.

Like P4Sci stated, the best course of action is to contact the school directly. Some schools are OK with it and some are not. Some pretend they are OK with it, but are not.

Best of luck!

listen to Lea. Lea has probably been in all the threads ever in SDN, being here since 1983 with over 100k posts and all .
