@1doggeek how many games have you played?

This is my 3rd, I also played kaydubs Summons and PBCs Peter Pan. I probably have been doing a bad job writing responses as I've been mostly on mobile during slow times at work, and I'm still getting the hang of taboo comments and not saying things that seem sketchy that I obviously am not seeing as sketchy when I write them.
I also didn't talk a lot the past few games, so I'm trying to get the hang of participating instead of hanging in the side wings.

I don't see where I said anything she had done was bad.

Not talking about you, just the thread in general. I've just personally found it funny to see so many people trying to figure out if a player is malicious or just has no idea what they're doing, haha.

Ok I thought I remembered playing with you before, that would have been in your first game. Just trying to gauge how harshly to judge you based on your experience 😉

Well then don't reply to me, dead person 😛 It happens in most lynches for newer players unless they slip up real bad. Trying to account for the fact that they haven't been playing very long and give them a little benefit of the doubt usually.

Everything you do is sketchy. The questions you asked about wolves in the game. Instead of looking at particular players, you were still fixating on game mechanics. Like this one:

I could be wrong, sure. But right now, you're at the top of my list.

Sorry, I haven't played enough games to know how a lot of mechanics work. I figured a game like this that encourages posting would be a good time to try and get some questions answered as they come up without seeming sketchy, but I guess not. It's hard without anyone to PM to know how some things work, without biting the bullet and asking in the thread.

When it comes to times of wondering whether a really new player is just being "nooby" vs. shifty, I generally give the benefit of the doubt to noob-ness...being a co mod it was pretty hilarious to see all the grand speculation on imavet in the Peter Pan game 😛

To address this question: if some posts seem like I'm starting to catch on, it's because I'm watching you guys and trying to follow your lines of thinking and deductive reasoning. But this is also my first time playing, so I don't know everything. I tried to stop asking questions after I was eventually told if I couldn't learn, I'd be subbed out
Seriously? You were told to stop asking questions? There is benefit to watching and learning, and some things you should have gotten from the homework assignments recommended of the noob games and a few greatest hits, ...

But it seems very wrong to tell you to just stop asking questions.

It's better that way, I got the wikipedia page and understand the roles better now.

In all honesty, I'm believing 1dog. Maybe I'm just gullible, but she seems to be genuine in her explanation. The way she wrote this just sounds like she honestly doesn't have anyone to PM with. She's definitely still on my radar. But I'm equally as suspicious of BBC, so I'm going to

unlynch 1dog lynch BBC

I think when I stated I'd never been a wolf before it was because I was trying to answer some sort of question and didn't want the person I was answering to be misinformed by my lack of knowledge.

Additionally, I had the same question as 1dog about whether the wolves would know the role of other the other wolves in their PM group before nightfall but didn't post it because I saw that 1dog had already asked this question.

Which makes me not so suspicious of 1dog.

***lynch AB3*** because I agree with others about the knowing nothing but knowing more than nothing and it will help me determine if my suspicions of another player are worth looking into.

There were a lot of gifs in that thread. Skimming it made me miss @Mad Jack 🙁

Huh. Whereas I've been thinking "gosh, it's nice to have the gifs cut down a bit."

I mean. I love the humor. But when a game turns into 75% gifs from dead people .....

Who said this? I doubt dy would say that. And flattery will get you nowhere

The way she wrote this just sounds like she honestly doesn't have anyone to PM with.

This strikes me as seriously sketchy, and guisantes just jumped high onto my list of people that should be leaned on.

The way you wrote it sorta implies that not having anyone to PM with would be more abnormal than normal, which sorta makes it sound like you have someone to PM with, which to me - at this point in the game with the villager seer and trackers both gone - would make me think statistically you are much more likely to be a wolf.

I know I don't have anyone to PM with (as a vanillager).

Just the way you wrote that seems seriously off. I'm operating under the assumption that the majority of us don't have anyone to PM with, whereas your comment makes it seem different.

unlynch whomever (1dog?)

lynch guisantes

I specifically said that it sounds like she doesn't have anyone to PM with because I was providing reasoning for why I was unlynching her and lynching BBC. I agree with you- if she was a wolf she would have someone to PM with, and the way she wrote that just seemed like she honestly didnt. I didn't mean to imply that I did, and I don't. I guess I can kind of see how you interpreted it, but I think it's a stretch to be honest.

gifs and memes are my preferred language

Stretches are often all you have to go on in a game like this. I'm comfortable with my vote. It very definitely could be wrong - and maybe is more likely to be wrong than right - but it's a good vote for a good reason.

I've actually been very impressed with how few memes have been posted thus far in this game, where players were given an expectation of contributing a certain number of useful posts a day to stay in the game. I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but I also think the number of emojis used on thread has gone down too.

As a dead person currently posting memes... I'm just lonely and sad that the wolves killed me. 🙁 Please make me feel relevant again.

You're dead. You aren't ALLOWED to be relevant again. Kinda the point. Soz.

To the person asking me to point to the vmh post, looking back I don't see anything totally clear, but I can see some idiot savant stl thinking some were.
If that was the case, he must of noticed D1 in order to discuss it with the other wolves. Or they took his post to heart and went in search of it themselves after he died. VMH did seem roley but nothing really pointed to tracker imo. With limited roles in this game though I suppose that part didn't matter as much.

Yeah, the roley vibe is more there, then the convoluted post regarding tracker results might have keyed them in. But, as you pointed out, that convoluted post I'm referring to (page 9 or 10) was the day we successfully lynched him, so he would have had no way of telling them

I can buy the wiki page, but the fire threat seems out there
I'd screenshot it, but you're not allowed to do that with private messages on here. Lol like why lie about something as small as that? If I was lying, the mod could easily say they didn't do/say that.

EDIT: wait what do you mean "fire" threat

Mods generally won't confirm or deny pm conversations with players since they would influence game play. In this case, it makes you seem more villagery but you have no way to prove it actually happened.

I don't know about 1 dogg. This, in particular, makes me raise my eyebrows:

Just throwing this out there since people are concerned about my comment on phrasing:

1. I'm not dumb enough to draw attention to myself like that as a wolf. That's a pretty obvious attention drawing statement, and while I've never been a wolf, I know that's not a great way to slide under the radar. 😉

2. The reaction to my comment is exactly the point of my comment in the first place. Posting as a noob can be scary because everything gets so picked apart in this game (yeah that's how you should play, but it doesn't mean it isn't intimidating sometimes). It takes a while to learn the lingo and how everything works so you can cut down on noob-sounding-wolfy comments. That's all I meant by it.

This try at self-exoneration is really sketchy. Oh, I'm not stupid enough to ever do THAT, so obviously I couldn't be a wolf . . . Come on. That doesn't give anyone any reason to trust you. I've seen wolves use this exact same argument (heck, I'm fairly certain I've used it before) and it's unreliable as heck.

STL basically used that argument day 1...

And then this response:

For reference. You're taking my comments pretty harshly when I haven't voiced loud suspicions of you, or voted to lynch you, and you're the one lynching me.

I love this. We can only be suspicious of someone and pay attention to their comments if they are actively lynching us. 🙄

I was trying to find what you were referring to. Is this it?

Which was my point exactly. I could be playing this quietly, answering BS noob questions only, and fading into the background. I am trying to actually play this how I would like to play the game. How the mod would want us to. But as usual, the more words you say, the more you try and strategize, the more people can find things they disagree with or word usage that is not always perfect.

If I was wolf, I would stay quiet until the ends of votes, not bring myself to the forefront and be front and center throughout the days discussions. I am saying a lot bc I don't have anything to hide.

The whole "if I was a wolf I would follow this strategy, but I'm not doing that, so I'm not a wolf" reasoning?

1dogg is looking like a pretty promising lynch candidate, but I'll keep my vote on AB for the moment. Her response so far hasn't addressed where my original suspicions came from (her weird AM lynch after Dy's warning about plurality), and although that could be explained away by noobiness, I'm not so sure. And it's weird that she addressed her posting inconsistency but not why she switched her vote to AM.

I switched my vote because they never bothered to comment and defend themselves, which I was trying to give them a chance to do. But there was no effort involved

Yes,
While I am always happy to have people believe in me, I'm honestly confused by your comment. @LadyOtheFarm, if you could please confirm, weren't you suspicious of me because I'm ambivalent in posts, not because of activity level?
Exactly-ish. More because it seemed like you were playing dumb in some of your posts. I normally think of you as one of the smarter sounding players in any given game, but there have been a couple times you've come across as more unsure than usual. It might be the nature of this game, but I didn't know, so I asked.

But your vote gave her less time to get on and offer a defense. Dy warned that we were close to plurality, which meant we only needed a few more votes and then lynch would close before the actual deadline. Lynching her at that point is exactly what someone would do if they didn't want to wait for her defense.

I was trying to find what you were referring to. Is this it?

The whole "if I was a wolf I would follow this strategy, but I'm not doing that, so I'm not a wolf" reasoning?
That as well as this one:
First off, there is something called tact, if I had a role, it probably wasn't the smartes thing to bring attention to me. Second off, I would never reveal if I had a role if I did and if I didn't, I would leave it open whether or not I had a role so I would possibly get targeted over others in the game. With that said, I worded that intentionally that way. But feel free to play a princess bride scenario as to why I phrased it that way 😉

And the general posts of making it sound like the wolves would have low posts counts while making sure he had a high post count himself. Basically making the idea of a wolf be the exact opposite of who he was.

unlynch 1dog lynch BBC

Quickly going to pop a quick comment/defense in for this:
1. In terms of the comment that someone quoted (talking about my lack of wolf experience), that is a comment I have made in pretty much every game, so it is not abnormal. The reason I chose to include it there was because since I was making an assumptive statement about wolf behavior I did not want people jumping all over me if I got it wrong. So I stated I had no experience to back up my speculation
2. If we are going by the logic that wolves would be careful about meeting minimums, I definitely don't qualify. Had 0 posts D2, and don't know if I have made minimum at all so far this game.
3. Someone mentioned I generally just after with what others say in lynches. I was one of the first people to try and lynch LIS, and gave my reasons at the time for doing so

But your vote gave her less time to get on and offer a defense. Dy warned that we were close to plurality, which meant we only needed a few more votes and then lynch would close before the actual deadline. Lynching her at that point is exactly what someone would do if they didn't want to wait for her defense.
If you read back, when people began voting for her, I said that I did no want to for the same reason I just gave now. Idk what else to tell you

Going to be honest now, my posting tonight is going to be brief... I am starting to feel sick and I have to be up early tomorrow.... going back through thread now, but might not make it all the way through.

There were a number of ShelterMed's posts that I took note of (esp wondering if an all wolf situation was possible 😕) but that could have just been noob-ness.
I thought this was soo wolfy sounding that I commented on it right then.

I switched my vote because they never bothered to comment and defend themselves, which I was trying to give them a chance to do. But there was no effort involved
Which is kinda funny given what LIS said earlier.
(A little more follow-up: Part of my couldn't-care-less-about-defending is the fact that a LOT LOT LOT of players seem to take that really seriously. And I have totally abused that as a wolf. See a lynch start against you? Just go radio silent. For the last two years that's given you a relatively high probability of someone jumping in to say "Awwww guys.... we can't lynch him! He hasn't had a chance to defend!" as long as you aren't being lynched over outright seer results or something.)
