Also, Zenge’s ability allowed him to pick someone on his vote and to be a bomb. If he had picked apop on his vote instead of Clem then there would have been 3 deaths that day and the NK would have ended it. But he chose Clem (not sure why) resulting in the extra day today

Oh yeah the tie mechanics. All things applied to wolves as they did to village.

The second tie kinda broke the game because it was supposed to stay split in that scenario. We allowed you to defer the kill because not doing so would have been so mechanically outting and it didn't seem fair to end things that way when you'd had no involvement in the tie. Then the game re-knit because it was nonsensical to have another split day cycle with only 4 players left and a wolf only being on one team (which was supposed to be the point where the teams collapsed anyway). Really threw me for a loop though lol

Honestly he made the tie and I’m glad he picked Clem cause it would have been kinda sucky for village to lose from a wolf making a tie

tbh Zenge was like, the OPTIMAL role to convert wheeeee , and also the joat with a kill, just rlly great stuff tbqh. Killing samac was my luck charm frfr

The demons were essentially in f4 that day because of the angel stalemate (though katie could have voted stagg and he would have died, and she would have lived even in a tie because she was unyeetable). Losing from a wolf making a tie is a known consequence of that gamestate if the villagers aren't all voting together.

I honestly wanted him to leave Clem alive, because that would have been the easiest push. I literally had pages of material ready for arguments and then they both died and I had a vent session in my role PM. Thank you to @WildZoo and @kaydubs for tolerating my whining.

I am undefeated as a wolf including conversions. And yes, I will forever count Noobs in Space as a wolf win because we were 10000% going to win before Coffee accidentally started wolf bragging before the game ended…
 
But I think what happened is Zenge thought apop was actually going to make the tie, so he moved to Clem to push him over, but then apop didn't actually move. And then it was going to be risky to take out anyone other than Clem given he couldn't be certain they would both die in the tie. Would have potentially left Clem, then fairly cleared from Zenge tying the vote, alive in endgame.

It makes sense for zenge to pick Clem imo
Don’t want to accidentally clear him
 
Also I want to shout out both converts for just carrying so hard as wolves tbh, they both were really crucial in getting the win, because town was... still so sharp and accurate with most of the reads and solving! Really put a ton of effort.

Felt kinda bad to convert Zenge cuz after doing the job of finally putting me to rest he got into the team that he just tried to bury (overnight even made a post saying rae was likely my partner even) and still he turned and just played with the woofs and for the team with no complaints tbh. both my goats.

Also rae for a noob and first wolf game also had a lot of people fooled and all the effort tbh it was also a joy to see! The noobs this year are something else istg everyone should be proud it was a really good and hard fought game!

Fair. I think it’s weird with the split and not truly realizing it’s F4 but having F4 mechanics. Becuase I would absolutely realize this in F4 but I don’t know that I’d realize it was F4 in a split with6 lol

But yeah I think it's kind of an argument after the fact. Knowing that the tie would have killed both players, it would have been the optimal play to pick someone else to blow up, but Zenge couldn't have known that.

Same thing with Stagg choosing not to kill katie the previous night. He couldn't have known that Lissa was going to shoot Spurs and so there could have been three village deaths that night, making it so it didn't matter if he was outted.

Game is split means game is split!
 
As a lesson to noobs, sometimes as a wolf the right move at night is to let nothing happen. Ie, holster your NK. I actually did that the last 2 nights, partially oit of necessity, but also partially to ensure certain NK arguments couldn’t be made. There are ways to deep wolf without bussing, but a lot of that depends on controlling certain views on game state or mechanics, which can easily backfire if certain events happen (like if Katie decided to vote for me when we were the only angels).

i said it above, but I really want to stress—I think it was defensible. I earned my sus-ness, and I wasn’t fully forthright in my PM with her either. I can understand her decision!

This does depend on whether holstering is allowed. It isn't always :laugh: and if not for the game-almost-broke shenanigans I wouldn't have allowed it two nights in a row.

Oh I'm not saying it was a hero shot or anything! Just that wolves would have been in a very rough spot if there were two unyeetable villagers that late in the game.

So my reads list day 1 with only Rae, Santy and scream (who I realized was TWtBW) was *almost* totally accurate with no other wolves at the time?

Haha yes time to retire with near perfect reads on my last game. Yes definitely. 😇

We were planning on killing you and converting an angel knowing you would be the one to be resurrected. Your role reveal just cinched the deal. We were hoping the rez would make you suspicious enough to misyeet but everyone was just, cool with the dead coming back as the same alignment? Then we were like “let’s kill beans to prove they’re village so resurrected Rae can claim village” but I was sick and of course no one bought it
 
@beans2020, you did a great job spewing town both before and after you were rezzed, it was undeniable that you'd come back village despite the inherent sus that follows a rez.
