On the other hand, there's a lot of unknowns in that neutral bucket.

I dunno either. To be fair the known wolves on her wolf list were already getting votes that day. So not surprising she put them there. But it's hard to interpret things well when she knew she was going down either that day or the next.

I very rarely posted on sdn until I signed up for this ww. (I still don't post that much). I haven't really read through many WWs, but it wouldn't seem like a good idea to give a player who is barely active on the boards a role of any kind besides villager just for the risk of not "showing up" after signing up.
Other than that, I think the slight "wolfiness" I exude is simply because I have no idea what I am doing.

This theory makes me . It seems awfully extravagant for STL to find a seer which I'm not sure he was aiming for AT ALL. You are definitely on my radar now. I'll stick with Zen for now but you tomorrow.

Oh, I think it was the first post calling Jil out on her theory being wackadoodle.

More directly, I think zensing might be trying to protect jilary from being lynched, that perhaps they're both wolves and jilary might have a power or something.

Found this, and interesting that it actually was the exact opposite, Jil was just a goon and Zen was the one with the power. Fascinating.

Other than jil, Nessy and confusing are my current wolf leans but that's without much of an update from yesterday

I've been suspicious of confusing for 10 days. And nothing has changed my mind. Don't know if I'm tunneling or what but...I don't see my vote moving.

nessy - Jumped off the Jil vote quickly when questioned about suspicion list.

Ski - I feel like stuff between her and cdo on the first day was strange. Also, how it's all water under the bridge now with no further questioning.

finn - I'd like to hear more from her. I'm not at the point of lynching, but my interests been piqued by the low amount of direct suspicions.

Abnerrs - May just be left-over feelings, but I don't feel totally confident about her being villager

Cyndia - still kind of wondering about her, but other have said there not much to be worried about since she's posting more. So, I'll put that on the backburner for now.


I'm think a night vilgilante would probably be overkill since STL, so we're likely looking at a bonus kill.

For an additional entertaining RNG/tinfoil note, I had a biiiiiiig tinfoil hat moment as soon as WZ posted the roster from the last basics game, because Rojo was a 2 shot vigilante last game, and we're both sitting in the #23 spot. (I didn't know day/night was a thing, so I assumed I was the only one). So basically I spent the better half of the first day looking at where everyone was placed in the roster and wondering if it meant anything. I'm a crazy person.

Last comment before I head out for a while...

I get how it seems random. But I was honestly getting a little bored (sorry mods, I promise it was fun-flavored bored), and we seemed to be spinning our wheels and not getting anywhere. That's also why I picked Abs as a target -- I thought she was very sketchy, but maybe equally importantly, I felt like the debate would take up too much of the remaining lynch cycles and make it harder to focus in on wolves.

Again, I realize I have a high likelihood of ending up dead as a result of this, but...it was starting to feel like a swamp around here.

That's what I'm wondering... whether she would have "suspected" all villagers or if she would have thrown a wolf in there.
But I'm just not sure what AM would do so I don't know how useful that list is.

Completely and totally random. Especially in a basics game. I know mods have re-rolled before because of stuff being too weird (all the same wolves as the previous game, or a completely new player being the lone wolf or something like that) but...I don't see that happening here. And I don't think dy is a mod who has said that she's done that before anyway.

So I went back through Zen's posts, and will continue to go through past posts to sniff out any clues. Here are all the posts she made involving any other players.

After thinking about it, I'm going to back off about expecting everyone to remember the day kill. It sticks out in my mind because it made me panic, but that part probably only applies from checking in between when deva was suddenly killed and when dy posted her explanation. If someone checked in afterwards and saw the kill and explanation right after each other, then it probably had a lot less of an emotional impact.


I vote leave him alone. If he doesn't post in the next day cycle or two, he'll get modkilled and we'll find out who he is then. No need to waste our lynch today.

This post is regarding my comment about LIS's absence. I'm wondering about LIS in general recently, this doesn't feel like his normal play. Zen looks like he dismissed concerns about quite a few wolves in this game.

A little bit of pressure isn't, but it can be easy to forget how many votes have already been placed. If two or three people forget at the same time, and it's been a more chaotic cycle, that can be enough to tip towards plurality. I know that's not the situation that we're in now, but there's also several players who haven't experienced plurality rules before. Why not practice good habits now?

FWIW, I read villager for STL and null for Jilary. I'm holding off of voting because I'd rather lynch someone I read as wolf than a null. However, if there's not more discussion/direction on this issue by tomorrow morning, I'll probably vote Jilary to get this resolved. This is the type of issue that can easily take up too many day cycles.

I see that @Jilary hasn't posted yet today. I'd like to hear from her before lynching her. Her individual posts leave me in more of a neutral read (didn't post much defense of play, but did end up providing lots of feels when questioned), but I'm leaning towards the wolves killing STL for feeling threatened. WIFOM, and I'd rather trigger that question than leave it sitting around and distracting me.

If anyone else is interested, my current wolf suspicions are serher (has sounded vague in posts), finnick (as LIS pointed out, has fought against others more than fighting for the wolves) and awesome (her tone's reminding me of Star WWars). Coopah hasn't done anything I've noticed since the weird day 1 post, so I'm calling that behavior differences and leaving it at that. I was suspicious of Dr. S, but I think that was because I wasn't used to their posting style. DVMD did well pushing raf, and I'm interpreting that as leaning villager for now. I think Abnerrs is just joking around.

I have defended my play, specifically why it was bad yesterday. I haven't felt this bad about the theory since the crazy "dark creatures" thing in Fantastic Beasts WW. I admit I don't have other good play points to show.

As I said, I'm busy. I reached the point this weekend where I got headaches from staring at my computer - never had that before, and I'm not enjoying the experience, but I still need to get on here and study. Extra energy, when available, has be used on this game.

I'm the villager blocker. This is the only reason I'm still fighting now. I know we need every power role we can get, and I'm pretty sure asking to get withdrawn from the game is more likely to receive a mod kill than a replacement. Blocked kc night one (highest suspicion was Coopah, but I felt like the only one pushing her on thread and didn't want her figuring out that I was blocker, and I couldn't read her), blocked DrS night 2 (suspicious of her at the time and didn't think a wolf Jilary would be acting after all of the attention on her).

Any more questions?

This comment from Zen came off really strange to me. STL came off sketchy early on and many seemed to agree with this. Why would you A) trust him and B) trust him enough that you trust the lynch he didn't give much reasoning for.

Fair enough. I would like to point out though that nessy had 5 votes and AM had 8 votes at the time I voted. If I was a wolf I could have easily tacked on a vote to AM at that point to gain "village cred" if I wanted to. I felt like I had more of a reason to vote nessy so that's where my vote went. My vote was not a deciding vote so I was trying to make my best judgement. Although I ended up being wrong lol

Finally finished rereading, so here are my reads on everybody. And then that's enough WW for me until I get some cleaning and studying done...I probably have more reasoning that I've stated in previous posts but I'm working from my spreadsheet here and not every random thought always makes it over there.

Wolf

• confusing - feels very wolf, not much there in terms of doing work for the village. Sitting on the cdo vote and her voting record in general lean wolfy to me. Plus as far as I can tell she never had any meaningful on thread interactions with any of the wolves.
• 3m - basically what i said in my previous post - one note about that reaction between her and Zen, and then nothing in the village column. Similar to confusing, very little that I can see as far as wolf hunting, and other than that exchange with Zen, very little interaction with our known wolves. She has been very noncommittal in her posts as well, and has been kind of hanging in the background of the game.

Neutral (from most to least sketch)

• cyndia - comments from raf that I mentioned earlier gave her some village marks in my book, but then she also is difficult to read due to how she plays, and she keeps talking about being more specific in her thoughts and suspicions etc etc but never seems to follow through. See the following post, there are a few examples of her saying something similar to the bolded but then no evidence that she's done what she says she's doing. It ends up making all of her reads seem very noncommittal since they are usually modified with "but I need to read more".

That was me genuinely commenting that I wanted to post more since I know I'm one of the quieter players, which makes things tough in a basics game especially... I actually check in and read threads often (aside from the first couple days of this game when I was busy), but usually I don't post unless I'm brought up or have useful things to add. I'm just not really one to post random theories. But anyways, I'm happy to answer any questions about my previous reasoning on posts!

I'll also post some more detailed observations/feels on people once I reread some pages, but as of right now I'm looking at voting abs or some of the other people that lynched nessie earlier in the day over AM/finn, or else some of the late voters onto AM. It felt like the vote cascaded towards AM pretty fast, so I'm not really looking at the later voters on nessie.

• coopah - the late vote on cdo plus some of her defensive or hypocritical posts early on had me suspicious of her, but the shade she got from Zen early on, plus Zen voting for her and bringing her pretty close to cdo in that lynch, gave me pause on that. I really don't have much to say about her more recent play.
• serher - literally just talked about the sketchy feels, but I've still got her in neutral since she did push raf pretty well and seems to be doing village work most of the time

Village

• finn - her back and forth with ally read village/village to me; soft defenses of two doomed wolves actually makes me feel like she is not a fellow wolf; plus AM's d1 vote for her. Overall finn seems to be normal finn this game and I would expect that if she were a wolf she might try a little harder to get people off her back 😉
• pippy - I believe her role reveal, plus the d2 vote from Zen that I mentioned
• LIS - I just feel like there's a lot of effort there when he was the time, and way too many of the wolves calling him strong village for him to be anything but, in my opinion. Nothing too concrete but sometimes you just have to trust your gut. And my gut says if LIS is a wolf, I don't mind losing to him, because this would be an excellent game for him.
• kcough - though it's waned here and there I feel like she has been wolf hunting for the better part of the game. Her d1 voting looks very village to me - initially she voted coop specifically to keep cdo alive, and then she switched to Jil very late. Also at this point I'm believing that she was blocked by Zen.

hm, how many wolves are we thinking we should be looking for? 5? are conversions something that would be included in a basics game?

I'm thinking this means no conversions because she brought it up first, and she would know.

hm, I could switch to the cdo lynch, but I definitely don't want my lynch to be the one to prematurely end our day. I'd much rather we have more discussion, especially now that she's checked in.

I'm going to be working at a shelter until this afternoon, so I won't be around at all. But I will be back with plenty of time before lynch close to change my vote if anything else interesting happens here.

She was definitely thinking of joining the cdo lynch so thoughts around the cdo lynch with a wolf there are definitely valid.

and then a little earlier on this page she's turned to wanted cdo to role reveal. Kind of seems to me like a she could be a wolf trying to play villager and convince someone else to not role reveal to keep information hidden at first. And then once STL came out with reasons cdo should role reveal, she started pushing for the reveal, like a wolf that found an ok reason to push for village information.

So she's definitely going after villagers here.

I'm intrigued by the Jil lynch, but I think it's because I'm more curious if STL is right again like last game or not lol

Only mentioning Jil, after she had already been brought up.

I'm not super suspicious of the cdo voters, I think cdo ended up with a weird role that ended up getting her lynched, but I don't blame people for thinking that role was sketchy. I'm also thinking Ski is probably village, I feel like a wolf wouldn't try to start a lynch on someone random so early that might take off and end up lynching a villager. I just feel like that's too risky for a wolf on D1.

I don't really want to lynch STL either, I just think he's fun and pretty great at picking out wolves as long as he's village. I'm ok with keeping him around for a few more days and seeing where his ideas go. If he's obviously leading village astray, then we can lynch him. If he's onto something good, the wolves will probably kill him. Either way, I don't want to lynch there today.

I could still go with my snowy lynch from yesterday. I posted my feels yesterday and her posts today seem like they're trying to be helpful with figuring things out, but then don't really seem to go anywhere. I'm just getting a lot of feels there.

Another deflection about the cdo voters. Also a foreshadowing about STL's death. Also snowy was marked from the beginning when she couldn't convince anyone to jump on the snowy train.

skimming back through today, I'm really interested in hearing more from cyndia for the same reasons as posted above. Has been really quiet and has basically nothing as far as strategy goes. I could definitely vote there today, but I want to see if she can come on and talk more before we start and bandwagon. because plurality is now in effect. it is D2 and I can read.

I'm not getting the same reads on Abnerrs, but I guess I don't know her well. She seems to be a helpful villager right now, she's a heck of a lot better figuring out strategy this game than I am.

This is a village point for cyndia.

I mean, there's not a lot, but I felt like she was still part of the cdo lynch in trying to figure out if a role reveal was good or not. And then when LIS outright questioned her about her play, she did answer him. LIS said her play isn't much different this game than other games. Even if her play seems wolfy to people, if it's normal for her, it doesn't make her wolfy.

eh I'm just saying that I haven't had a good game so far, and it's obviously giving people suspicions. When I post my feels, it's making people more suspicious. People are also suspicious of some quiet people. All I could do was post what I was thinking. Maybe I can be most helpful to the village if I'm lynched.
For what it's worth, I still want to hear more from cyndia today and I think what finn posted about ally was really interesting and a good observation. I'm interested in hearing what she has to say about that. I'm also intrigued by the Jil lynch, but not because of feels for Jil, just pure curiosity of if STL is right again.

I'm not sure what to think of this because at this point it was pretty obvious that she was going to get lynched. She does mention that Finnick has a good idea. Also doesn't feel for the Jil lynch, so subtly defending her here. Another call for Cyndia to speak up, and a little shade thrown on Ally. I'm thinking it's another village point for Cyndia.

Ok so the people who none of the wolves talked about (that I've seen so far) 3m, WZ, and confusing. I'm leaning toward confusing. I know it's her first game, but I haven't seen very helpful analysis from her, while I have seen it from WZ and a little bit from 3m. Honestly I want to review 3m as well, but I'll stick with confusing for now.

Okay, so I'm really on the fence about confusing. I don't really like her posts today, but I'm worried I'm definitely reading too much into her noobiness...

So I convinced myself I was going to vote for 3m, but after rereading the last day again I'm still not sure. I really just hate that excuse of "mods wouldn't pick me because I'm a noob/quiet/etc". Sorry 3M if you're not a wolf, but your play this game feels a little different to me than last game when you were village, and I just have not been a fan of the bandwagon votes.

Like Coop, I also am inclined to agree with you about @LetItSnow ...He was village for most of last game and was participating more then. He shut down pretty fast when converted, and this game he seems similarly "out of it" to me at times. It's been bouncing back & forth for me. He seems to be making logical posts when he's around & focused, but otherwise has not been helpful, and I agree those posts you found are sketch. But, I also agree with WZ's reads yesterday where she said that if he is a wolf, this would be a pretty crafty game for him, and I'm almost not mad about it haha

But in contrast -- I've thought you were wolfy for days. If you're not, then I'm sorry (maybe you'll be one of those players for me like @kcoughli who I think is wolfy even when they're not), and so I'm almost positive I'm headed towards voting to lynch you again today.

So, after yesterday, I am adjusting where I have KC in my list & moving her more village, but I wanted to point out one thing here about this whole blocked/not blocked business.

I see a lot of people soft clearing KC for the alleged block. I know someone brought up that the wolves could have blocked STL and KC could now be covering it, but isn't it also possible that KC is a wolf and *was also blocked by Zen*? I mean, there's no rule about not blocking fellow wolves, is there? It was N1 -- no one knew anything about anyone -- and after seeing how people have reacted to this, it seems like it would be a GREAT wolf strategy to block a packmate N1 because if the blocker is forced to role-reveal, there's a pass for a fellow wolf built in to it. Obviously wouldn't be a good idea if said blocked wolf had a role, but blocking a wolf goon to buy village cred? I could see that.

I don't think so because it's only who he's claiming to block. We do not know of they got any notification about it, KC didn't confirm it. He could have blocked anyone, and I doubt they'd waste a block on another wolf N1 because it wouldn't help them at all with no reason for the wolf to confirm it once the original wolf comes under fire.

Yeah I mean in this case I'm inclined to agree with you exactly because KC isn't confirming or denying. But if this was a game where people got notified (like the Star Wars game) and she had confirmed it, then I could see it being a sneaky tactic to hide a wolf. I'm just kind of spitballing -- I'm a little stressed about today since we're getting down to lower numbers, and so I think I'm avoiding having to make real decisions by bringing up hypotheticals that probably don't matter at all haha.
