I have done this too for certain reasons. however i was called for interview and explained why. thats all they really want to know. you should start building your cv . shadow and work experience.

I graduated in 2008, but tht hardly affected me. I got acceptance from NYUCD this year. 🙂

I also had interveiw there but recieved a wait list letter, do u know what is the likelihood of being accepted if on wait list?
