bad teeth

I am currently applying to dental school and I want to know about dental students that have multiple caries. I grew up on sweets and my teeth show it. I also have a gap between my front teeth, but I have bonding material in there already. I haven't always taken care of them the way I should of and the thought of having fellow classmates work on my teeth has me a little embarrassed. However, I feel it will only benefit my patients because I will have a compassionate approach to those that haven't taken care of their teeth in the past. I realize most of you haven't had to deal with this question but hopefully there is someone out there that has.
