One of the best fellowship programs in the Navy, IMO. They rotate at a number of centers of excellence around the country including National Jewish, do interventional pulm training at UCSD (with one of the world leaders in the field), have a sleep lab and a strong faculty...if you really want to be a spit doctor, it would be a good place to train. And they are very used to AF fellows.
I am a medical student in pulm at NMCSD right now, and the fellows are top notch....very motivated, well read, and love to teach. The attendings are not malignant at all, and are very interested in academics.
