Does anyone know where fellowship trained intensivists usually work in the Army? Specifically do they usually get stationed at a larger MTF (e.g. bamc, wramc, tamc) or is it possible to end up at a small hospital in a less than desirable location?

many thanks.

A hospital actually has to have an ICU to have intesivists. Thus, it is my understanding that they tend to be billeted in MEDCENs, rather than small Army community hospitals. I don't understand what benefit there would be in sending an intensivist to Ft Polk, but knowing the Army, it has probably happened before.
