Hi! I submitted my application in early December and it got verified quickly after that. Its never a bad idea to call them and just check on the statues of your app. I checked in with one of the other schools I applied to and it turned out that they actually needed a syllabus from one of my courses and once I sent them that I got offered an interview. I think it shows them how interested in their program you are as well!

Thank you for the advice! I did call and it was very helpful! How did your interview go?

You're welcome! It went very well! It was pretty relaxed but there was a writing portion at the beginning. It wasn't anything crazy, they just wanted one to two paragraphs on a very simple question that was subjective and easy to write. I actually got my acceptance email a few hours ago!

I did too! Congrats! Another word of advice- make sure to prepare questions for them. During my interview I was only asked two questions and the rest of the time was spent asking questions myself!

Congrats! Mine was the same! I was only asked two questions and I spent the rest of the time asking as well. Do you know if you will be accepting your seat?

I’m not sure yet- luckily they’re giving us quite a while to figure it out. I’m just waiting on two more schools to make a final decision. Are you accepting it?

So for the interview you recommend having questions for them right? Again, thank you for your help

Absolutely! Most of my interview was me asking questions and getting to know the program better other than what I already knew based on what they provided on their website. Also, by me asking questions it opened up the conversation to talk about other things which relaxed the mood a bit.

Sure! They asked me about myself, why OT, and why I would be a good fit for their program. I believe those were the main questions and we may have branched off of those into others.

Hey you all. I might be the last one to have an interview next week. Any advice, tips or things i should look out for?
What kind of questions do they want to hear?

Hi Everyone! I also have an interview this week. I am taking all of your advice into consideration. Thank you guys!

Hey guys,
I am applying this year and had a question for those who applied. Did you have trouble personalizing your personal statement to other programs using Barry’s PS requirements? I know they ask to write about “ how we will overcome the challenge of working, family life and OT school” but I am not sure if I should include in my general PS since many other full time school don’t like their students working too many hours.
