Hi all- I am wondering what numbers to go by when figuring if I am qualified for the hardship deferral. Do I give them my base pay figures, or the total package? Also- anybody know where I can find that darn calculator online??
Thanks for your help! Steve

i reported my 4th year medstudent income for this year. as for next year-- i've heard some people just submit their base pay and have gotten the deferment, but i'm not sure how BAH is officially counted-- it isn't taxed, or calculated into taxes, but it does go into your gross income. i figure i'll have an official letter from our Admin SGT stating my base pay is XXX and see what happens. :)

the calculators are everywhere. here is my lender's: https://www.theloanprogram.org/tlc/Calculators/HardshipCalc.aspx
