At about 5:15 PM today I got a call from the dean of Baylor... It seems the wait is over. Good luck to all!
Congrats, but I can't say I'm not jealous.

Thank you for the congratulations. I was pretty suprised... I am actually quite average for Baylor. I am a Neurobiology major, Computer Science minor at UT Austin. 3.95 GPA, 35Q MCAT. 2+ years undergrad reseach in neurosci lab. 1 year of paid programmer for a computational lab. No publications yet though. Volunteer at Brack and St. David's Hospital. I am in band and teach MCAT classes. Phi Beta Kappa. Recs were pretty good (I think). I interviewed on 9/21. Interviews went well... one guy even said he was impressed. The second interview has an older guy.. very hard to read.
I am not sure how the calling schedule works. Like I said, mine was around 5:00 PM. Funny thing was, I had put the Baylor admissions office phone number in my phone in hopeful anticipation, but when I got the call it was "Unknown Number".
Good luck everybody...
I neglected to send in one of my transcripts after one of my interviews was less than stellar (it was only for 1 small, non-science and non-premed req class)... Now Baylor emailed me reminding me to send it in. Does anyone know whether they always do this when someone doesn't turn in a transcript, or might they actually still be interested in my application? Sigh, I had finally gotten used to the expectation that I wasn't getting in, but now they've teased my over-active imagination and I'm nervous again.
Grats to those who have heard back good news!
Is it true that Baylor places a large emphasis on the interview performance? As in everyone who gets an interview is essential on the same playing field and the only factor left to determine who gets in and who doesn't is the interview?
I think all med school's put a large emphasis on the interview, and Baylor seems to be one. However if you look at there admissions stats from last year the average MCAT was nearly a 35. This is one of the highest averages that I have seen at any med school (in texas most schools average around a 29 and Soutwestern's is between 31-32), and this leads me to believe that their computer ranking system places a strong preference for really good MCAT scores. I think Baylor may rank you even before you are interviewed, and then add to that based upon what your interviewers report.
The rumor I heard was that everyone who gets a Baylor interview starts at the same level again and only the interview is used to differentiate between accepted students and rejected/waitlisted students.
my oos friend from the same school as me also got in last week. =/
I interviewed 10/19 and then got the "applicant pool" email on Thursday (10/25). I assumed everyone got that email. Is there anyone who got accepted that got that email? Ughh i hate playing these guessing games but I want to go to BCM so bad..
Shoot, I didn't get the email and I interviewed 9/21.
