Does anyone know or anticipate when the dean will start the next round of calls?

edit: calls are made every 1-2 weeks, usually around 5 pm. seems to be on any day of the week. for a more solid answer to your question...

Mine has been complete and finished review for about a month (that's what it says online). What is the likelihood of getting an interview now?! I'm an OOS.

I've heard over and over that they accept WAY more people in the spring. I know from my school, last year they accepted 12 overall. So far they've only accepted 4 from my school, so assuming it will be the same number overall, maybe they select about 1/3 in the fall? Most people that I talked to who go to BCM say that they didn't hear from them until march/april. Personally, I interviewed on 9/7 and I got accepted in late november, so there was about a 12 week delay for me.

I think I remember them saying something about that...either way I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and send it to them.

I haven't read through this whole thread, but just an FYI for those who haven't received an invite yet: Baylor will send out the last interview invites in mid-February. If you don't hear from Baylor by mid-February, you've been rejected. But note that they don't actually start sending out official rejection letters until May.

OMG!!!!! I GOT INTO BAYLOR!!! I was sitting in a movie theater with 2 minutes before the movie started and the dean called me! I was so excited slash the movie was horrible 🙂

Oh, Baylor. Waiting for that call even though I know I shouldn't. Going crazy around 6 pm Eastern time every day even though chances are slim that that will be the day. Only one more day before the break, one more chance for ultimate happiness on Christmas. Oh, Baylor. 😍

Your screen name says it all! I feel the same way. I hope we'll get in. And you know, I think that Baylor really likes students that really want to go there. The fact that we're posting on this forum shows a lot. It would have been nice to hear before the break, though.

Wow, that's a pretty dang amazing application! Congratulations on your acceptances!!!! I just got my first today to the University of Tennessee. Great feeling, huh? 🙂

i've been getting emails from them about residency issues. everything i check my email, i get really excited because it's from baylor. but then, it turns out to be about residency. nata, we interviewed on the same day - we're definitely in the same boat. good luck everyone.

I received an invite Wednesday for 1/18. I was complete back in mid-Sept. There are only two more interview dates left, I believe, so they'll send out two more rounds of invites in January. There's still hope. : )

quick question - so im an oos and was recently accepted to bcm (yay!) and heard something about people buying houses / condos in order to claim residence. it is possible to buy a small condo and obtain residence for the 2nd-4th years and pay the reduced tuition?

My understanding is that you must be employed full time for 12 months before you can gain residency here (being a student does not count). I am not sure there is a way around this if you own property in state.

RockChalk, I have heard that as well. I'm not OOS, but people from med school (from interviews and such) have told me that they have earned in-state tuition from 2nd year onwards from buying and living in a condo before start of first year.
