Hi all - I haven't seen a main thread yet for the Baylor Hybrid DPT program (Jan 2020 start) so figured I'd start one in case there are others out there who plan to apply also. It seems a bit early, but considering they start next January those deadlines are going to creep up quickly!

The program is accepting applications during these windows: 1) January 1, 2019 - May 15, 2019 and 2) July 1, 2019 - October 1, 2019. I personally can't apply until the second window so look forward to updates from anyone going through the process earlier in the year. Good luck to all!
 
Just curious, when is everyone planning to apply? I'm guessing the bulk of applications will be sent in around the start of the standard app cycle?

I can't say what the questions were. I applied on a Saturday morning and got an email for an interview on Sunday night. I did the interview two days later on a Tuesday night. It is now 5 days later and I have been waiting for a response. It would be wonderful to hear good news on Mothers Day 🙂
 
Hello! I applied May 15th (right at the deadline of the first window). I received an email for an interview on the evening of May 22nd. I completed my interview on May 23rd and received a prompt response regarding further review. I've read on last years forum that people received responses after their interview anywhere from 4 days to 3 weeks. It's only been three days, but it's really good practice for my patience!!

I am considering applying for the next cycle. I originally applied to get into PT school a few years ago(not at Baylor), got accepted, but got cold feet due to financial purposes. Now I'm 29 and I've finally decided I'm ready! The accelerated program is VERY enticing, because I would be done in December of 2021 instead of May of 2022.
 
Hey all, figured I'd update whoever's interested with a couple things I found out. 1) Baylor does a mix of rolling admissions throughout the year (for those who are "well-qualified") and bulk review of applications for everyone else, probably after the official deadline. So if you've been told to wait until October-ish, it's probably because they want to see how you stack up to other applicants. 2) As of about a week ago, the 2020 class is about a third full so there are still plenty of seats left.

Has anyone else applied and gotten any updates or been accepted?
 
I had an interview on Thursday afternoon, but have not heard back yet. OP, I wonder how you knew about the percentage of seats filled, etc...

I am a non-trad student. How long does the Baylor supplemental application take?
 
It’s not too bad. Two short essays and then some reflections on your study skills and readiness for the program. Just make an account and look at them. You don’t have to pay, and you don’t necessarily have to submit it right away.

How long after you had both applications submitted until you got the interview request?

Not yet. My fingers are crossed that I'll hear something tomorrow- most older posts say two weeks or so (two weeks was today). Y'all I want to go there SO bad! I will post either way. I am a little nervous because I accidentally posted a draft copy of my PTCAS essay instead of the one I edited (and then had edited). I lost half my family a couple years ago due to poor health and I couldn't read it again- I wrote about how they event made me want to pursue PT.
 
How long after you submitted everything that you got the invite for an interview?
 
I'm dying to hear from someone who's been accepted, lol. I guess those 30 or so people who've filled seats already don't come on here...

I'm planning to submit my application early this week. Please send prayers and good vibes if you're not already using them all up for yourself. 😉

ABSOLUTELY! I was told that I would get another email with information about immunizations and actions I need to take before class starts in January. He said I have 10 days from when I get the email to accept or reject the offer, but I’m going to the pay my deposit within five seconds of opening the it

I got in too! I got the call yesterday from Dr. Unverzagt. I sent in my application July 5th, got invited for the interview July 12th, completed the interview July 13th, and got the call on the 30th of my acceptance!
Deposit is due within 10 days.
