supposed to be a good program.

wow john snow! i dont think i have ever, in my time here on sdn, heard you speak positively ( or at least without any prejudice) of a psy.d program!

Baylor is an awesome program. It is arguably the best psyd program in the country.
On a side note:
I have come to realize that John doesn't despise ALL PsyD programs, just the professional school programs. Their higher acceptance rates, higher tuition, and little to no assistantship opportunities make it difficult to see the advantage of going the professional school route.
I must admit that when I was applying to psyd programs, I was unaware of the disparity between professional psyd programs and programs that were university based.
Luckily, I was accepted into a university based program, and i have come to agree with John on many different levels.
Though he sometimes says things in a blunt manner, his ideas have begun to make more sense to me as time has gone on.

Hi,
I am a Baylor PsyD student and love the program. We are like a small close knit family. You certainly get to know the professors well and have a large amount of attention given to your needs and interests I have to admit that I was surprised by just how rigorous the program is though. I honestly can't imagine choosing another program. I was accepted to several PHD programs as well, but after the interview Baylor was clearly my first choice school. Good luck with your decision.
