Does anyone know how soon bps notifies ur boss. Coz at my place of wrk rumour has it that they laying pple off abt 3 rphs and 2 techs . I will b the only staff rph that's board certified kinda gives me a little comfort there job security so to speak

I'm not sure that they ever notify your employers. In my opinion, you should consider telling them the good news yourself the next time you see them at the caf or in the Starbucks line; or just stop by the office :joyful:

Additionally, if you've told any of your colleagues at all, then surely news of it will reach your employers in due time. There's empirical evidence of walls 'having ears' and little birdies' existence, irrespective of the institution size 🙈

1. - They don't notify your boss - I think you could just go tell them.
2. I hope you are posting from your phone because nothing annoys me more than people using text speak in a written forum
3. You used "so to speak" completely wrong
4. And it would be Cuz not Coz - that is a place we go on vacation in Mexico

I really dont know what to say abt ur reply its just unnecessary to address someone that way and its in writting I wonder how u treat pple in person. i feel sorry for pple who hve to deal with u. Please dont answer to anything I post since u know everything. Let other pple answer. Keep ur ""knowledge"

I thought Janiceps was a class action lawyer trying to gather clients to sue bps... also if you got blindness from Viagra or bladder cancer from Actos, you can contact her. ...😱

What is happening to BPS posts ..... It's getting funnier and funnier everyday ......... I think it's all about new scoring system and examination system BPS is adapting..... gettin on to heads of all great cliniCal pharmacists posting here

Did anyone actually fail? Or did they pass all of us this year to avoid these law suits? Either we are all smart or just a part of something bigger lol

I'll have to agree with Janiceps. I took the BCACP and I knew I did very well in the first 2 domains that I studied for - therapeutics and biostatistics/clinical studies. I sorta forgot to look at the exam content again a few months before the exam, so I skipped the policies & procedures, humanistic outcomes, and public health. Oopsie! I guessed on all those questions. :smack: It was a horrible feeling. That's why I thought I flunk. I think the first 2 domains totally saved my butt. I will never skip any chapters in the future. Live and learn. Anyway, I'm glad that I passed. 675/800 isn't bad for a retail pharmacist who graduated 14 yeas ago. :woot:

I'm sorry. I'm still waiting for her to post. Janiceps is a she because someone called her Janice in one of the previous posts. I'm sure she passed since she felt good about it. She's probably working late or on vacation. After all, it's almost Thanksgiving. 🙂

Hey guys! I was wondering if anyone could tell me where to go to find the previous passing rates for all the exams? I saw it a couple of weeks ago and now I have not idea where I saw it. Thanks in advance!

If you want to be in a CE group, please PM me your name and email address, you need to be able to use dropbox because that's how we'll distribute the CEs. I'm mainly wanting a BCACP group but should be able to fit in a couple of people to the BCPS group from last year.

Found it.

The results of the 2012 exams by specialty are as follows:

Ambulatory Care Pharmacy — 482 of the 652 candidates were certified for the first time. There are now 1000 BPS Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacists (BCACP).

Nuclear Pharmacy — 33 of 44 candidates were certified for the first time and 5 of 7 were recertified, bringing the total number of BPS Board Certified Nuclear Pharmacists (BCNP) to 552.

Nutrition Support Pharmacy — 46 of 68 candidates were certified for the first time and 35 of 38 were recertified. There are now 523 BPS Board Certified Nutrition Support Pharmacists (BCNSP).

Oncology Pharmacy — 176 of 392 candidates were certified for the first time and 16 of 21 were recertified, bringing the total number of BPS Board Certified Oncology Pharmacists (BCOP) to 1,421.

Pharmacotherapy — 2,203 of 3,229 candidates were certified for the first time and 121 of 142 were recertified. There are now 11,608 BPS Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialists (BCPS).

Psychiatric Pharmacy — 80 of 98 candidates were certified and 16 of 18 were recertified, bringing the total number of BPS Board Certified Psychiatric Pharmacists to 758.

The results of the 2011 exams by specialty are as follows:

Ambulatory Care Pharmacy - 511 of the 661 candidates who sat for the Ambulatory Care Pharmacy exam, available for the first time this year, are now BPS Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacists (BCACP).

Nuclear Pharmacy - 23 of 47 candidates were certified for the first time and one of three was recertified, bringing the total number of BPS Board Certified Nuclear Pharmacists (BCNP) to 524.

Nutrition Support Pharmacy - 37 of 68 candidates were certified for the first time and 24 of 27 were recertified. There are now 482 BPS Board Certified Nutrition Support Pharmacists (BCNSP).

Oncology Pharmacy - 172 of 321 candidates were certified for the first time and 19 of 20 were recertified, bringing the total number of BPS Board Certified Oncology Pharmacists (BCOP) to 1,244.

Pharmacotherapy - 1,720 of 2,419 candidates were certified for the first time and 85 of 95 were recertified. There are now 9,422 BPS Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialists (BCPS).

Psychiatric Pharmacy - 67 of 85 candidates were certified and 32 of 33 were recertified, bringing the total number of BPS Board Certified Psychiatric Pharmacists to 684.
