Ok....1st off, I have been following this thread since last year and moolman you are frigging hilarious!! Congrats to everyone who passed their exam, myself included hehe😀...

Has anyone heard of anyone who did not pass? Seems like they opened the floodgate and passed all...thoughts?

Seriously with the CEs? That's a waste of money and energy. No thank you...planning on re-certing in 7 years.

It may not be worth anything in 7 years anyway...a new certification exam/mode of recognition will probably be out by then...so why waste the time, money, and resources on the CEs? Better off actively reading on your own. That's kind of the point.

Plus, by doing so and re-certing, you are showing that you are up-to-date (relatively) without needing to complete said "designated" CEs. Why do CEs have to be "special?" One word: money.

People try to make new certifications but look what happened to that other specialty certification, it never took off because it's not legit without the backing of a organization like apha, why do you think the cgp is one that nobody really knows about still.

I do agree with you that the CEs are a money grab and add cost to it but you can buy the psaps pretty cheap, even when you recertify by exam they charge you to take it, so they get your money either way.

If you ever seen some of the CEs offered by pharmacy times or whatever lame publication that you can finish in 5 minutes and get 1 hour of credit, you'd have to be the dim witted one not to realize they have to make special CEs. That's a DEAD GIVEAWAY.

I am new to the forum. It looks like you are active member. I am planning to take BCPS exam in 2014 (Pharmacotherapy). Did anyone took exam in 2013? How was it? I am looking someone who wants to sell their material as want to start studying early. Let me know if you or anyone else you know is interested.

I cannot arrange any study group but we can make a group ourselves. I mean I will start studying in January if you are interested let me know. We can invite other members and create a group.

My group is to do the CEs together for the BCACP or BCPS. ACCP releases the CEs and you get a certain amount of time to do it. Each person must purchase the CEs individually to get credit. There are now ASHP CEs too, we get together now but in 2 years we'll start. You must PM me your name and email address to get invited to a dropbox. I'll start inviting people after the weekend.

I have 2013 ACCP study materials (electronic book, audio, ppt, and mock exams) available. Please PM me if interested. I passed the BCPS exam so no need for these anymore.

Don't buy the electronic material from these guys, I was thinking of selling it too but to just one person to keep it legit, like selling your personal copy, not making a side business from it. If ACCP won't get paid for the material, I'll make sure nobody does then. Free for everyone. ..😛

Moolman why u always put your legs on everything, if people want to sell their material what is the harm? I am sorry if you can't sell your but if someone selling the material which they bought for $$$$$$ to get some money back and help someone at the same time, let them do it, let's discuss something constructive rather something that doesn't make any sense 😉

Selling your one personal copy that you bought is legit, that's what you should do to recoup your cost but there's a big difference between that and selling multiple electronic copies, you don't think I can do that too...😛... there's a moral ground that shouldn't be crossed here on a semi anonymous, irrelevant Internet forum..🙄 I'll make fun of janiceps, I'll be a hole, I'll speed on the freeway, I may eat a grape or two in the produce section without paying but we're suppose to be of decent moral character as a pharmacist we don't sneaks meds in the pharmacy and we shouldn't scam ACCP by becoming a thief and selling multiple electronic copies on here, that's just fooked up and may needed to be reported to ACCP for prosecution, not that they already are not looking at this thread. ..lol.... I will get off my soapbox now. ..😀

You right but question is I think if you can count both towards BCPS and BOP at the same time.
As long as CE are approved by ACPE they can be count towards renewing the license but you can't us it twice.

One has nothing to do with the other. BCPS CEs are all ACPE approved. I only know for CA, so we're required to do 30 hours every 2 years. If I did 30 hours of BCPS CEs those, 30 would count toward BCPS recertification and also at the same time count toward the renewal CEs. BOP and BCPS don't coordinate anything, you can send over your BCPS Ce's to CEmonitor on the NABP website. Simple, I think.

Something new for me I will look further into it, if anything mention in pharmacy CE Law.

Yes. I may star study in Jan-Feb. I am going overseas so will post it after
I come back that is after January 1st. I still have to purchase material which I will do after I come back.

I just bought the CGP material, it's pure crap. First off, they give you the lecture slides only but for some of them, they give it to you in PowerPoint note format, you know the one with the 3 slides on the left and the lines on the right. The lecture has 300 slides, I don't want to print that crappy format out. I rather have the slides alone. Also, the video is just a video of them flipping through the slide, NO AUDIO, I asked, it says it in the page, i thought my speakers werw busted until it dawned on me. WtH, so all they give you is slides and they don't give you a study book and not even a lecture, they can just read the slides to me but no, it's just a video of slides. Pure wastw of money. Just pissdd away almost 400 for the ASCP membership and test material.

Anyway, I have CGP, BCPS, and BCPP. There is no comparison between the rigor of the BPS exams and CGP. Seriously, do not buy any prep material. Do not waste time studying for the thing, especially if you passed BCPS without too much distress. You will OWN that exam! I took it 6 years ago, and I'm *almost* positive they tell you if you passed or failed as soon as you finish the exam.

Well, they claimed to have revamped the test all new for 2014, so I bought it, the material is super lame and yes I heard the same before that the test is much easier than the bcps, but we're the first batch to take the new test, so I'm hoping for the best.

This may be a stupid question.....but will we ever be able to find out how we did in each domain of the test? I'm thinking not......

Just love the challenge of these new testing formats, do ya, moolman??! I have to recert by 4-30-14 if I decide to keep it up, and was depending on the cushy exam. Crap.
