Best activities to do in gap year

Hi all
Any suggestion on activities to do in a gap year, research/scribing or pursuing a Masters, which would be better?

Scribing or another clinical experience is usually the best investment since applicants often have a tough time gaining hours while attending school. Service to the those less fortunate is also always good and can work around your clinical employment schedule.

Depends where your deficiencies are in your profile. Bona fide community service where you aren't coming in as an expert but rather as a true humble assistant to those in need would really help if you didn't have any of this before or it was restricted due to class obligations. Americorps, Peace Corps, Habitat for Humanity, etc. helps. Stop tutoring unless you are going for Teach for America or similar.
