What is the trend for the best oxidizing/reducing agent?
I understand given a E chart it is the most positive value, and accordingly the best reducing agent is the lowest number.
Are their any other trends? F-oxidizing agent... Na/K reducing?
Is this correct? -Since metallic character has low ionization energy, electron affinity, and low electronegativity -- the low IE means it is willing to give up e- to acceptor;therefore, it is a good reducing agent?
