Hey guys whats up?

I'm a Canadian. I have a 3.85 GPA and a 506 MCAT.

Applied last year to USMD, I think I'm rejected from everything.

I just applied to OzTREKK.

I graduated, but I'm going to take Organic Chem next school year so I can apply to USDO.

If I get accepted into an australian med school, should I go? Drop out of Organic chem? save a year of my life?

PLEASE dont say study where you want to practice, because I dont mind studying in USA or Australia.
I'm wondering what schools are best for landing a competitive specialty inside australia, what are the chances of landing one outside australia back in USA or Canada?

I dont know much, but I heard that things like hospital affiliation and refrences from people you connect with are important. I dont want to go to a bad school that makes it really hard to form those types of connections. I'm generally wondering what the best schools to go to are.

Here is the list of 8 I have to choose from.

· Griffith University –MD

· Flinders University – MD

· Macquarie University – MD

· Monash University – MD

· The University of Melbourne – MD

· The University of Notre Dame – MD

· The University of Queensland –MD

· The University of Western Australia – MD

School doesn't matter for speciality. Time and CV building once you are a doctor is all the colleges care about.
Thank you for your reply, would you say that some schools have better hospital affiliation among other things that would make it easier to get into some specialties?

thank you again!
