Which of these would I have the highest chances of getting into?
In addition, which school have I left out that I should apply to?

Stony Brook
NYU
Columbia
SUNY Buffalo
UConn
Nova
BU
Tufts
Harvard
UNC
University of New England
Temple
UPenn

My Info:
I'm Indian, live in NY.
My mom went to NYU and I have a couple Recs. from NYU grads and affiliates.
Overall I have 14 Recs. 6 Dental. 4 Professor. 4 from Charities etc. (I know I can't send them all in)
I don't mind going anywhere and I'm planning to think about the cost once I get it...so right now assuming that money is no object.

Non Science GPA: 3.60
Science GPA: 3.25

DAT:
Perceptual Ability: 21
Quant: 22
Reading Comp:22
Biology: 21
General Chem:20
Organic Chem:16
Total Science: 19
Academic Average: 20

I only took one semester of Orgo before the DAT. Which I P/NCed...
But I'm taking it now and I'm doing quite well. Hopefully that'll help my Science GPA as well.

I might retake the DATs in the end of November...just to see if I can get some more points.

whats your overall gpa? schools could care less about your non science gpa.

the ones in red--with your scores and gpa as they stand, no.

nova is weird so idk what to tell you about that. it could go either way. they like a high bio score (which you have), but they also like really high gpas...so...that might be a toss up.

edit: your mom went to NYU dent? that'll help you out a lot for NYU.

edit 2: consider adding schools like USC, case, roseman

I suggest adding Univ. of Detroit Mercy. Good Luck

Great responses!
Thanks!

I threw in Harvard for the hell of it. Stony is my top...I went there for Undergrad. NYU is second.
My mom went to NYU and I have connections at NYU, UMDNJ and Nova. Also at Loma Linda but I heard its hard to get into if you're not religious (the same religion as the school). I believe Seventh Day Adventist.

I'm definitely going to look into Case, USC, Roseman and Detroit Mercy.

Please keep these coming!
This is great!

I'd add in UMN as well. Its a good school in a good location.

As for UPenn, I think to land an interview it really depends on your overall GPA. The sGPA may pose a problem with UPenn, imo.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the suggestion regarding UMN.
To be completely honest I'm not too sure I'd like to go to UPenn. Given my sporting team affiliations I would have a bad time in Philly haha. UPenn is a well-known and highly reputed school and that is why I was considering it.

But I'm open to everything. UMN seems like a good school. I did some basic research just now and you're right. The location is good! (for a school in Minnesota)

+1 - Schools in red off and Overall GPA would help with advice

Also maybe add: UMDNJ, Western, Midwestern IL, Midwestern AZ, Louisville, Michigan, UMN.

What is that supposed to mean? Minnesota is a beautiful state.

I'm not ripping on Minnesota. I'm saying thats probably the best possible location given the state of Minnesota. I'm just used to the hustle and bustle of NYC.

Ah I thought I wrote UMDNJ. That is definitely in there. I have a connection there too.

MY OVERALL GPA:
Stony Brook: 3.49
Bard College+Stony Brook: 3.55
Therefore my four year total GPA is 3.55
**I transferred to Stony Brook as a Junior. I took Physics and Biology at Bard. I took my Chem Classes at Stony Brook.

Thought I'd mention:
I'm an Econ major.
I've had a lot of experience in not only the technical aspects of Dental offices but the managerial and administrative as well.

that GPA is bit low for indian, unless you're american native indian.
don't be offended, that's exactly how affirmative action works, and some people believes in AA.

if i were you i'd stick with econ and get MBA. By the trend of dentistry in america, it's going corporate everywhere. You can someday be the boss of all of us.

but I'd say you have a pretty good chance of landing many interviews, and unless you really mess up, you will get many acceptances.

you have a connection at UMDNJ too? Are there seriously that many Gujjus in the northeast, or what?

There are actually a lot of Gujjus in the northeast. But the person I know there isn't a Gujjus. Believe it or not I know other ethnic groups haha.

I don't think AA will really make a difference.
You need to be a dentist to own a dental office.

Thanks for the support. I think I'm pretty solid at interviews so hopefully you're right.
