Hello, I am a non-traditional student who had a horrendous start to their college journey, resulting in me failing everything for ~2 years without dropping classes, academic suspension and then taking two years away. After coming back I killed it, 3.5+ every semester except my senior year I plateaued with mostly Cs and Bs. My cGPA according to my institution is 2.90, and according to AACOMAS is 2.42. Obviously I will need post-bacc or SMP to get acceptance to med school seeing as to how I took the MCAT and got a 495. I was hoping to get some advice as to what schools offer SMPs and where I should look. Home state is OH, I also come from a medically underserved area.

Thanks!

Not sure how keen you are about moving, but the MS in medical sciences at Mississippi College is a phenomenal program to help get you on the right track for professional school. The dean is a genius and helps plenty of students in the program get into dental, PA, and medical school. I would do an SMP just because I dont personally think adding anymore hours to your undergrad GPA would drastically change it. The classes at MC are med level courses and would definitely prepare you for medical school (speaking from personal experience). Good luck in whatever you decide!
