Hello, I am wondering what the best time is to apply to dental school during undergrad. Do most people wait until the degree is finished and take a year to work or mature or is it beneficial to apply earlier. thank you.

Apply when you're ready and have all of your LORs together. I'd advise you notify your Profs/PI/GP a year in advance.

I think right after junior year is the ideal time to apply so that you start dental school immediately after graduating. Some people take time off after graduating but if you know you want to be a dentist I think it's better to jump right into it. I don't know if taking time off after graduating is considered beneficial or not, it's all circumstantial. I personally don't think it affects odds of admission significantly either way.

If you're a senior you need to be finished applying yesterday, to yield best results.
