When is the best time to take the DAT so that your application would be timely? Also, should you apply, then take that DAT, or must you include your DAT scores in your app? Thanks.

#1 -- take the DAT after you finish all your pre-req courses except physics. If you have physics finished by then it could be beneficial because that course consists of applying a lot of math skills which may prove beneficial in how you interpret trig functions on the exam.

#2 -- you dont need A&P by I would strongly recommend you take both AP before you take the exam. It will allow you to be strong in many areas of biology.

#3 make sure you understand your Biology 2 very well because any bio questions come from that course.

In response to when you should turn in your application, my advice that I have recieved from many other is the sooner the better. If you have not finished your DAT send it anyway and contact the schools saying how you are very interested in joining their programs, etc... I would send my application in May.

So assuming I finished my prerequisites at the end of the Spring 2005 semester (May), I can fill out and submit the AADSAS right away in May, even before I take the DAT?

I would prefer take june, july, and perhaps august ( I have read from people that scored very high that they prepared for 2-3 months) to study for the DAT so I can dedicate full time to it, rather than trying to study for it during my last semester.

Would sending my DAT scores to them in late august create a problem? I'm not sure what the best timeline would be.

not really cos most schools allow u to fax your copy to them
then verify your score later on.

You mean 2 semesters of A&P?
