6 months ago the Democratic party was saying he was the epitome of perfect health.

All the flubs were cheap fakes and a big conspiracy.

Actually, we've had a demented president and his staff has been pulling the strings. And probably Jill Biden.
 
Biden already told you what’s going happen. He said Obama is the puppet master. He has a problem with saying the quiet part out loud. It will be Michelle and she will act like she begrudgingly accepts when it was the plan all along.
 
Trump has more black support now than he did in 2016 and 2020.

Republicans will bring up her record. The border is a big issue for millions and she failed utterly.

When she comes out of the shadows, there will be a bright spotlight on her (she is unlikeable) and her record (which is abysmal.)

It doesn’t matter if California or New York votes for Harris

She’s in big trouble already in most or all of the swing states.

Remember trump lost like 5 swing states by around 100k total votes. That’s means a swing of 50k votes turns the entire election
 
Harris is the candidate or someone else?

Would love people's thoughts on potential candidates. Gotta say, exceptionally low bar for me to vote for the new candidate, whoever it actually ends up being. I'd imagine Biden endorsing Harris doesn't guarantee anything.
 
The only one I would vote for over Trump is Bobby Kennedy, and also the only one with a chance of winning.

I don’t think even Michelle can beat Trump at this point. Trump has a very strong support among black men, and I don’t see them getting behind Michelle or Kamala.

Newsom is, and looks like, a complete narcissistic psychopath who would sell out his own family for another percent in the polls with a lair in the mountains somewhere. He was so bad the state of California tried to recall him. The French Laundry incident is not recoverable for him IMO.
 
This is probably the best news for Democrats everywhere. Independent voters will now have a better candidate to vote for than Dementia Don. Democrats can showcase a younger leader to the nation. I’m hoping it’s Shapiro/Kelly/Beshear for Prez.
 
It’s funny how the left continues to try and make donald trump is demented a thing. It’s the classic fallacy of accusing your opponent of being what what you are yourself. Cognitive dissonance. Now that Biden is out that’s not going to fly. He’s the same as he always was, rambling WWE style. This is not dementia it’s his innate proclivity to being a circus announcer. It’s not new and it’s not dementia. If you don’t believe me you can go back and watch literally SNL parody from 2016-2020 of him. Anyone trying to call trump out for dementia while ignoring the objectively real dementia of Biden for the last 3 years is an obvious partisan hack and liar.

Awful lot of confidence on here for a Trump victory when as of yesterday the forecasts still predicted a coin toss election. (1)

The party will almost certainly rally around Harris for the following reasons:
- She will have the most money
- The risk of a contentious convention is too high
- Polls I've seen give her similar if not better odds to Biden compared to anyone else interested in running
- Delegates these days ARE NOT political operatives for the most part who are willing to buck their constituents. In general, the delegates pledged to Biden will more likely than not decide to go with the candidate most similar to who their constituents chose.
- We already see big name endorsements for her: Biden, Congressional Black Caucus, Elizabeth Warren, etc...

Michelle Obama has repeatedly declined. Newsom et al didn't attempt any serious primaries already, I'm skeptical they would attempt it now.

There are over 100 days until the election, MOST countries around the world conduct Presidential level campaigns within that time frame regularly. We are a distinct outlier with our years long system. I don't see the timeframe as really being an issue going forward for the D candidate.

My fellow liberals, we're about to watch the GOP construct an entire 5 month campaign out of the n-word. It's time to get coconut pilled.

That’s what we have to be thinking about every day. As we go forward, we need to keep doing what has always been done. - He’s the oldest presidential candidate ever.
- Only criminals plead the fifth, you know who pleaded the fifth?
- He’s for the military? The draft dodger and the one who called POWs losers?
- Make America Great Again? Couldn’t convince Americans to take an American funded and backed vaccine over being infected by the China Virus
- Man of family values? Cheated on his first wife with the second wife, who he also probably cheated on with his third.
- Church Man? Couldn’t even name a book of the Bible correctly.
- He says illegals are full of rapists, drug and human traffickers, murderers and all sorts of other criminals. And that they are stealing American, and now specifically Black American jobs. In that what he thinks of Americans.
- Have we seen his birth certificate? What about his taxes? What kind of guys has no birth certificate or pays taxes? Illegal immigrants.

You mean the part about locking up everyone for weed or something else? Because if we’ve learned anything over the past 4 years we’ve learned that Americans of both parties absolutely love weed. Like it is literally their favorite thing. I know because I live downtown in a Midwest city deep in a red state and as soon as I step outside I get a contact high now. I hate the stuff but the writing is on the wall. Unity is a nation of people blazed out of their minds 24/7.

All of my patients? Over half have marijuana on their substance use list.

So is that that Kamala or Michelle? I like Kamala more than Michelle (both are awful but she is clearly the least worst of), but I’m not in your team.

Michelle I believe truly hates this country (as does her fake husband), I don’t think Kamala does. She failed upwards spectacularly here. She should love it. And I believe she does.

Independent voters will determine the Presidency on Nov 5th. No independent voters will vote for a woman much less a black woman. Harris also has a lot of baggage. I hope the Democratic Party has learned from the debacle in 2016.

I think you’re underestimating just how unpopular Trump is with independents and women. If Republicans only ran a more moderate candidate, such as Larry Hogan, then they would easily win it all. But for now it’s back to being a close race to be decided by a few swing states.

Let’s be real here, voters in swing states will not vote for a black woman. Look at the Georgia Governor’s race and you can see the future if Harris is the nominee. America already lost their mind after a half-black man won the Presidency. We are too divided, let’s get a young and sensible nominee to contrast with Dementia Don.

Harris has no chance. In the end. It’s about the swing states. She’s got to convince those in Ohio Pa, Wisconsin , Michigan etc.

I don’t think she has enough political clout to convince those voters.

It was Biden voters voted in. Not Harris. She’s an after thought. Does anyone know who the backup quarterback for the 49er or chiefs in the Super Bowl that was played in Feb 2024? I bet most don’t recall off the top of their head

Same can be said of Harris with many of these swing state voters.

This is hilarious because it’s literally what my comment was referring to. Accusing your opponent of the same thing you yourself are doing. In this case repeating obvious absurdities from the White House news room amplified on msnbc that Biden is sharp as a tack.
