Biden Out of Race

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
More people should have been "dragging down" Trump when he was attempting to subvert the election. That would have been good for America.

Listen bro. It is arrogance. If you believe she needs him or whatever in order to tap into his audience fine, but it is arrogant to demand the sitting VP travel to you and talk for 3 hours instead of 1.
But is it really arrogance (having an exaggerated sense of one's own importance) if he has literally had some of the wealthiest and most influential people in the world on his podcast? I don't even listen to his insanely long podcasts, but I think he's built a reputation for himself and he can reasonably set the terms of someone joining him for an interview take it or leave it, without being considered arrogant. Just the same, Harris is in a position to be able to set the terms and offer a take it or leave it situation. Both have decided to "leave it".

Regardless who wins, I hope every American can move on and support our president no matter who it is. It does nothing good to continue to drag down your president.

If KH wins, I will come on this thread immediately and wish her well and support her next 4 years!

Is that what happened in 2020? Republican politicians still won’t acknowledge a Joe Biden win and an entire campaign built on the conspiracy theory that the election was stolen.

This “can’t we all just get along” shtick is tiresome. We’ve blown way past that.

They must be all on "Call Her Daddy".

I see that appearance as an attempt to boost turnout more than persuade undecided voters.

IMO Yes, for the reasons he listed. Calling someone arrogant is an opinion. You're arguing that Rogan has earned the right to be arrogant. Maybe if Harris made actually unreasonable demands like having handlers with her or something that dramatically changed the show I would be more sympathetic. I have an already low opinion of the guy, but this falls below the already low bar.

Do you honestly think some of those rich and powerful people don’t set terms beforehand or are given topics of planned discussion? Joe Rogan is MSM. He’s owned by Spotify.

You're watching too much MSM!

I can't speak for politicians, I can only speak for myself. I support Joe even when he had major decline.

See this is where you become DTJ syndrome left MAGA when you leave all sense of fairness out the door when you don't like someone.

Dude owns the show. It is his house. He invites a guest in and for whatever reasons can't come to terms. Then you call him arrogant and she as the guest gets a pass? Makes no sense. And you have no clue what other "rules" that is not public.

Next time you have a party at your house and make it 7p-10p but one of the guest wants to come at 5pm. You say can't do it bud. Then they call you arrogant. Surely that makes no sense to you.

Joe Rogan Trump interview has topped 40+M views in alittle more than 24 hrs. The KH View show Avg about3M viewers.

If she wanted to reach the public, spending 3 hrs to get 40+M views seems much smarter than going on the view getting 8% of that.

The optics is she chickened out to reach 40M peoplel

So when your boy Trump cancels multiple interviews, it’s non-news? When Harris doesn’t go on a conspiracy theorist’s podcast, it’s big news?

Got it.

You don't read before you talk. I don't care if KH went or not. I don't think its big news. Row call it arrogant of Rogan to not let her on which I disagreed with.

Sometimes it is ok to read before down your dark road.

Well sure, we can just 'imagine' any number of reasons that might actually be unreasonable.

Hmm, if I were actually a folksy pot-smoking man-of-the-people then it would be pretty arrogant of me to demand the Vice President of the United States arrive for my party at 7pm instead of 5pm.

When you substitute your own hypothetical and remove important context, the hypothetical loses a lot of relevance.

You wrote about his arrogance about rejecting the current VP. He definitely has the leverage to say no to her demands, and it’s not out of arrogance lol.

She’s most likely going to be a losing presidential candidate, and arguably one of the worst ones in recent history.

It’s worth stepping back and thinking about why Joe Rogan has more leverage in an interview than Kamala Harris. Is this good for us? Not surprisingly no one in Trumps campaign or his voters cared when he stopped doing media interviews and pivoted to podcasts (after getting ruined in the single debate he agreed to). So the only way the public gets to see a presidential candidate is through a podcast? And all Rogan wants to do is talk for 3 hours? Fwiw I’ve listed to his interview w Trump but have only made it through an hour so far. It’s completely worthless. They’re just talking. If you already like Trump you’re like ‘oh this is wonderful he’s so great’. If you’re at all on the fence you’re like ‘this is a complete waste of time’.

Sure, no one trusts the media. I don’t either. So what does that mean for the public if Trump is president again. How do we know what the hell is going on? How do we trust the info?

I think it’s bad when Trump is never questioned on his thoughts or decisions. When the public has decided it’s ok if he does zero interviews or only has conversations with a podcaster. Or only goes on FoxNews. At that point we are effectively Russia.

And yes, I want Kamala interviewed and being asked tough questions. I don’t care if she goes on Rogan for a 3 hour conversation. That’s worthless.

You know you are making no sense right? Dude owns the show and sets the rules. She doesn't want to follow rules. They both agree to not do it. KH does whatever she feels best, good for her. But then you jump that Rogan is arrogant?

Your KJT derangement clouds your thinking.

Bottom line is, right or wrong. He OWNS the show. He Sets the rules. He can do whatever he wants because you know what, that is what comes with OWNING something. If you OWNED a show getting 40M views, you can make KH the Queen of Persia if you want and tout how great she is.

You are just mad b/c Rogan has the largest platform and you don't agree with his politics.

If Maddow had 40M views and she refused to travel to DJT Mara Lago to do an interview, you would not be calling her arrogant. Just admit it. You play the my team is never wrong mentality which is what makes you unreasonably rigid.

If you are going to write such unbelievable and outlandish hypothetical scenarios, I cannot even entertain your argument. Please use scenarios that are within the realm of possibilities if you wish them to be taken seriously. Thank you in advance.

All of this would make more sense if we ignore the tweet he sent out and gave his own reasons for why they couldn't agree on an interview.

I'm saying his reasons and his portrayed personality are why I call him arrogant.

If he had just said: "yeah, we couldn't make it work, too bad." I wouldn't be calling him arrogant. It's the reasons he gave which are why I'm calling him arrogant. They're dumb reasons to me. Apparently, they aren't dumb to you. We can disagree on their dumbness if you want, but that seems like a dumb conversation.

It sounds like you believe someone who OWNS their own show can't be arrogant for some reason. That's dumb to me.

If MSNBC rejected an hour long interview with Trump because they wanted a 3h interview and they wouldn't agree to do it at Mar-a-lago, I would say those are DUMB and ARROGANT reasons to not do an interview.

I suspect that KH's camp knew that the demands she made were untenable for Rogan and they made the attempt so that they could say, "Well, we tried our best to schedule something, but he didn't want to do it." That way, she gets to continue to dodge the difficult interviews while also trying to give the impression that she really wanted to make it work. I, for one, am not buying it. She is well aware of the damage it would do if she had to have a normal conversation with someone who might ask her some difficult questions.

In my opinion trump is not hurt by his refusals to interview and harris is for 2 reasons.
1. Trump is graded on a huge curve. Behavior that would never be tolerated by professional news organizations is tolerated. He is sane washed so they can present 2 sides.
2. Trumps voters do not care, they have been well and truly indoctrinated. He may have been exaggerating about shooting someone on 5th Ave in the past, but I do not think it is an exaggeration now.

Do you think that Hillary will also declare victory and that the election was stolen? I hope she doesn't pull that stunt again.

My Bad. I tried my best to pick the biggest left wing personality. Too bad she only gets 2-3M on a good day.

Kind of petty but I will just agree to disagree on an irrelevant point. My big problem is this world judges tooooo quickly. When you have preconceived hate, everything is half full. We live in a world with too many unhappy half full people.

I like to live in a half full world. If KH wins just as when Obama/Biden won, my life moves on just as well. I continue to the golf range 2 times a week. My bank account will continue to grow. My businesses will continue to grow. My family will continue to do well.

KH will put in some dumb policies but the silver lining is she will put in some decent ones too. Its good in life to disagree but look on the bright sides of things because when we look back, nothing is really as bad as we feared. When DJT won the first time, some of my friends were looking for plane tickets to another country. Well guess what, they are still in the US and still doing just as well after he was done.

If Kamala wins it is a continuation of what we have currently. It's already half her administration. I don't support her now so I see no reason to say in another week, Oh yes nowww I support her.

We all know her radical positions. We see her every single day avoiding all questions. We know exactly what's coming if she wins and it's horrific. Let's hope that worst case scenario doesn't play out next Tuesday.

I don't care what politicians do, I just care what I do. If KH wins, I would root for her to do well and make good policy decisions.

I am not saying I support her crazy platforms just I hope she does a good job for the majority of Americans.

I'm a glass half full guy.

I also think Rogan is an arrogant anti-vax, moon landing was fake conspiracy peddling POS.

Those aren't mutually exclusive positions.

Well, you got your wish. Vance going on Rogan for another 30M views. I expect either KH or TW will take up the Rogan offer.

HRC was butt hurt by Comey and continues to be butt hurt. She doesn't say it out loud but essentially said it screwed her.

I guess you read minds?:

“She doesn’t say it out loud?” 🤔

That’s equivalent to the “Stop the Steal” campaign. You mind if I call you Simone because you are really elite at mental gymnastics?

Its called an opinion which you obvious have eventhough they are way out there but carry on. Please explain to me the dark web MSM billionaire mind control narrative again. 🙂

Learn how to follow the money trail instead of trying to read minds. If you can read minds then you would agree with me, but you only pretend you can read minds.

Whoever wins, I will hope for the best (and maybe a little gridlock). Easy to drown in pessimism but we're all going to be OK. 🙂

Nothing to see here. Nothing to see. Move on.

I'd rather give myself a nice paper cut and pour lemon juice on it than listen to any of these people do stream of consciousness chatting with Joe Rogan for three hours.

I've always wondered who has time to listen to multi hour podcasts. Long haul truckers? The unemployed? Background noise for people who work or live alone?

trump just epically stomping on his own dick with that MSG rally

I'm sure they didn't know that 400,000 Puerto Ricans lived in PA

I sort of wonder if the the last few elections' trend toward more and more early voting has a significant (diminishing) effect on October surprise sort of events.

Evem granting that the whole "October Surprise" thing is kind of a myth, it stands to reason that with so many votes cast early, the impact of campaigning over the last couple weeks has to be significant.

Idly wondering how many Pennsylvania Puerto Ricans who voted a week ago are wishing they could change it.

40M obviously have the time or some time to view parts of it. I watched the first 10 min and then got bored waiting for someone to condense the good parts in 10 minutes.

I doubt it matters this last week outside of some really bad news/mistakes. For DJT he would have to stab a nun at church then throw all of the bread on the ground.

Everyone has decided and if you need another week, it won't matter.

No way. The Trump cult is so fervently and blindly loyal that he could shoot someone and he wouldn’t lose voters (as he famously said). At this point all the people that used to support him because of “policy” have peeled away and all that remains are the blind loyalists who are so plugged into the MSM brainwashing machine.

On the flip side, it serves as a bit of a public service to have someone going on the record about his totally unsupported, unscientific, racist views about black people being genetically dumber.

This thread is filled with disingenuous takes along the lines of "racism is dead or racism is not a significant issue in America, but the left still calls everything racist, blah, blah," so having an example of a trumper, who is a full-fledged supposedly educated physician, just shoving that vile garbage in everyone's face can be illuminating for some of the lurkers or skeptics who agree with or are unsure about the take that overt or subconscious racism is a non-issue nowadays.

There’s a whole lot of naivety sprinkled with a nice dash of hopeium there. Trump hasn’t spent the past 4 years sowing doubt about the integrity of our electoral process so that we wake up on November 6 and shrug at the outcome and move on with our lives. All the “kumbaya” and “let’s all just get along” from the Trumpers on this thread is basically just confidence that their guy is going to win in a landslide (he may) because of shifts in recent polls. If Trump doesn’t win, I can assure you that the histrionics of the last presidential election will look tame in comparison.
