Okay so i've read through the whole kaplan bio section and basically memorized it. i went over some other books at the bookstore, eg barrons easy way and schwams, and both those books have a whole lot more info than i know. i guess the parts im worried about are like examples of different kinds of vertebrates, etc. the other books really seemed to go over that stuff, and i really dont know it, nor want to. for those who have taken it, what do you think?

Personally, I think you should just know what makes each diff phylum unique. For example, I had a question about which phylum featured radial symmetry (echinoderms).

is baron's helpful in preparing for bio? everyone here seems to think the kaplan bio review is a bit lacking, but does baron's make up for it?

No, Barrons does not make up for it. You will have to find an in depth bio book if you want to nail the really tough questions or get a book like Dat Destroyer that includes pretty much all of the tougher questions you will enounter on the real Dat. Kaplan and Barrons is good for general info which is definately important for the more basic questions and might give you clues and help you eliminate some wrong answer choices on the tougher questions.
